Got my interview invite!!

The first time I applied for priority but didn't get an interview. I ended up getting accepted into MBA school and graduate from the program in December. When I didn't get accepted the first time I was told that my application was competitive but that they had double the amount of applicants, making it more competitive. They prioritize previous UAB students and veterans (I know three and all had low GPA's w/ no healthcare experience).. the previous program director told me that they had to get very picky and that the only thing she saw w/ my application was that I retook two core classes. I would say get shadowing hours, but I'm not sure that it makes a difference.

My GPA is a 3.57 and I was moved to regular admission as well.... I'm so bummed since it's my second time applying.

Yay! Good luck to you, and I hope you get accepted!! If you don’t mind disclosing what was your GPA? I’m wondering if it was just more competitive this year for priority admissions, because a lot of people who had one pre-req left didn’t get interviews. I’m assuming it was more applicants

Hey, sorry to hear that. It was the same for me; I’m currently in nutrition so I’m assuming not having that one prerequisite completed exempted us. My friend who’s currently in the program said not to stress over it bc there are several people in her cohort that applied for priority but didn’t get accepted until after the regular deadline. Yes I just heard. CONGRATULATIONS ? that’s awesome! unfortunately I didn’t qualify, per the email they sent. Did you have all of the pre-requisites taken? I’m currently in nutrition so I’m wondering if that’s why.
