U Penn Second Degree ABSN 2017

Published

Hi Everyone! I have not seen a thread started for the UPenn ABSN 2017 cycle yet! I wanted to start one and see if anyone else out there wants to chat about it! Very excited to hear back this month!

I submitted my app on 10/14/16 and once all my LORs were submitted 10/28/16, I received an email my application was complete and under manage my account, it states my app is ready for review!

Thanks Breadnroses. Have you heard anything today? I haven't...Btw are you also BSN/MSN Family?

-Nope, not yet. I also wonder if that Meet and Greet is still happening on January 20th.

-Yep. :)

Anyone who already did the interview, wanna help a sister out and give some advice :) that'd be so great...i'm really nervous. i'm assuming they're going to ask questions like why NP, why PENN, future goals?

I recommend knowing your application really well. Not sure what specialty you applied for but my interviewer asked me a lot of questions about my application/resume. Hope that helps!

ABSN- I received an email to interview for the ABSN program! (yesterday 1/16/17)

Omg that's awesome @cwata14! Congrats!!

Just testing as it seems inactive since early January.

Congrats cwata14! Any other ABSN applicants hear back? Impatiently waiting and want any inkling of whats going on!

did anyone take a comparative anatomy course and check with them if it was okay? i know on the website that it says human anatomy, but the course i took is focused on human anatomy.

Sorry, I just saw all the other comments after January 9, my browser must've cached or something.

From what I understand, they do not accept comparative anatomy. I believe they said so at the information session I attended.

Keep in mind, past threads for ABSN have stated not all admitted students were asked to interview! So everyone keep their hopes up!

Has anyone else on the ABSN-only track heard anything about an interview?

I stopped by campus this weekend to look around and fell even more in love. Eek!
