U of AZ Interview for ASBSN!

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi!

I'm so excited. I just found out that I got selected to interview for U of A's ASBSN program! :w00t:

In the email it said to bring my top three choices for healthcare sponsors. I'm not familiar with Tucson, so I'm wondering, what would be good choices?

Hey Mark or anyone who knows,

When do the accelerated BSN applicants find out their admission (or denial) status? I think the traditional BSN applicants find out by mid-March? The traditional application due date was 2/1.

I thought I answered this question; but, must not have...

All choices are supposed to be done by mid March for the ABSN partner programl.

I don't know about the timing of "1st round" or succeeding rounds notifications; just that all the decisions will have been made by then.

kirs, Adam, Mark, drdreamer ....... congratulations on getting interviews, and good luck to each of you! Keeping my fingers crossed for you all, keep us updated!

the suspense is hard .... the interview is a blurr... we all did our best and the rest is going to move quickly ...especially for the out of staters!!! Did you all get your fingerprints taken of ? What other schools have you applied to ????

Personally , I really enjoyed the hospital sponsorship sessions....

Best wishes and prayers for all....

Thanks, for both the prayers and best wishes!

I'll need a couple more pre-reqs for other programs (pathophsiology); so, right now I'm *all in* for UA.

I have an AZ fingerprint card, I picked it up when I heard it was a requirement... It will need the additional AZ statute for nursing students on listed on the back...

Good luck!

Oh my. A week has gone by since the interview; ok, well, almost a week. 1 down, 3 to go!

I'm getting my fingerprints done tomorrow at the Scottsdale PD.

Just wanted to chime in here. I went to the interview last Saturday also, and it went pretty well. Was anyone else surprised at the number of male applicants? I cross my fingers and wish everyone here good luck on acceptance. I too would like to know when anyone gets an email from the hospitals about contracts. Take care.

Welcome to the group.... Good luck to all!!!

Hi John,

I sat in front and didn't get a good look at the gender mix. What do you think the percentage was? (Did you notice there were some Dads and SOs accompanying some of the applicants? I did... there were at least 3 in my group.)

From my reading in the student area my rough guess is that males are running about 10% of the classes... maybe that's the highest % that get accepted! DOH! ;)

Good luck to you too!

Hi,

In the partnership meeting -- was there a mention about contracts being sent out for us to look at? Did anyone receive one?

Yes, there was.

No, I haven't....

I think the lawyers (who were mentioned as not having signed-off on the contracts) probably objected to each of us getting to see the contracts for the other 3 places...

tick, tick, tick... :)

Hi all,

Three quick questions:

Does anyone know how many students that started in the Accelerated program last May -- are still in the program and will graduate in August? I guess I am looking at retention rates.

Did anyone ask the question about 'pro-rating' the tuition/work repayment requirement, in any of the sponsorship meetings? I guess what I am wondering is if it is a two year work agreement and you have worked one and half years and something happens --- do you owe it all back -- with no credit?

How do you include attachments on PM messages?

thanks ---
