U of A MEPN 2022

Published

Hello everyone. I am applying to the U of A MEPN program this fall for a May 2022 start. I'm super nervous and excited. Anyone else? I have not taken the HESI yet but will be doing so toward the end of Nov. Any advice?

Hey everyone,

I just finished my interview and I did TERRIBLE! I was stumbling over my words and couldn't gather my thoughts quick enough. Good luck to those of you who haven't completed the interview.

I'm so sorry! My first couple of answers were pretty awful, too - I bet you'll be surprised though - The time limit and new platform will throw a lot of us off, so hopefully it wasn't as bad as you think. And even if it wasn't great, hopefully your stats will make up the difference -

Sorry! I’m sure you didn’t do that bad! Just imagine how difficult the time constraints were for everyone!! And you can make up for this in other ways on your app so don’t worry ?

Yes, I hope so! Thank you both for your kind and encouraging words. They made me feel a little bit better. Now we just have to wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

I'm on the same boat honestly ? pretty much expecting an alternate or a rejection at this point.

Hi future MEPNers! I am a current student and can maybe answer questions if you have any! I know interviews are so scary - I don't know if you had a writing question, but the time went off for me during the written one, and I was halfway through a sentence which was so embarrassing. But I still got in! (And actually it was my 2nd time applying - I didn't get in the first year I tried - I was waitlisted to Tucson and eventually got in to Phx but couldn't take that, but persistence pays off too!)

That’s good to know! I got the point across in my written portion but with 10 seconds left I realized I forgot to put the word “program” and before I can spell it correctly, time ran out ??‍♀️ I put “progma” LOL.

Thank you! I think that helped calm some anxiety for us! Do you remember how long after the admissions decision was made that you had to tell them if you would be attending? I heard it was a very small window.

I'm glad I could help!

So our interviews were due by Feb 1; I got my acceptance email on Feb 12, and then Feb 26th was my due date for if I would accept the offer.
