U of A MEPN 2022

Published

Hello everyone. I am applying to the U of A MEPN program this fall for a May 2022 start. I'm super nervous and excited. Anyone else? I have not taken the HESI yet but will be doing so toward the end of Nov. Any advice?

I feel strangely relaxed about the interview. Anyone else not as nervous as they thought they'd be? Maybe I'll feel it more as the window gets closer - Did ya'll go to the info session today?

I was but now doubt and worry have slowly started to creep in ?

I had to work but I watched it after and it felt both helpful and not that helpful ? I'm only nervous about how short our answers have to be...

I wasn't able to attend due to work, but I'm reviewing the recording now. Honestly, I was expecting the interview to be a lot longer overall. I am also nervous about the limited time for each answer!

I thought the info on the format of the answers they want was helpful. Will definitely do a few practice questions to get the timing down - yeah 1 minute is - well, concise, for sure. Hoping to get it done on Friday.

Okay, done! I was just going to practice today, but I felt good, so figured I'd go for it, LOL - Good luck everyone! I'm going to go pass out now, haha

I'm going to bite the bullet and do it when I get home from work. Did you feel like you were well prepared with the practice questions they sent, or other online resources?

The timing was a little difficult for me. The first couple question I tried to go right up to the end, but you really have to leave a little space so you don't get cut off. Otherwise, yes - though the practice questions are definitely to get used to the platform and not representative of the real ones, as far as content.

I normally get nervous about interviews (school, job) but this one seems more casual than other ones especially the fact that we can do it remotely and we're not speaking directly to someone. but that might change once I do my interview tomorrow haha.

I finally went ahead and completed the interview. The toughest part was definitely the limited time for each response. However, I appreciated the amount of prep time beforehand to gather my thoughts. Good luck everyone!

Good luck to everyone who hasn’t completed the interview! The time limit made me more nervous but I think I still got my ideas across ?

Does anyone know if you can do a post masters FNP certificate after this program through U of A? I was trying to research pathways that lead to becoming a FNP
