Having had no formal training in the great art of touch typing, I not only find myself editing, I just delete the whole post I spent many a minute pecking...thanks to a former employer and computer charting, my typing speed is mind boggling at perhaps 20 words per minute...but I am the only one who can read it...then I fix it, then I say to hell with it. Nice to know others are "lysdexic" when posting....
i can't spell worth a damn either...:rotfl:!!! i have to have ms word open while i type a post. what i do is...write the post & before submitting it, i cut & paste it to ms word, hit the spell check grammar & theasurus, make all corrections there, then cut & paste the post back to the reply screen...add any characters like:...then preview the post & finally submitt it.
99.9% of the time, it works, except for when i mis-type a word that sounds the same but mean a totally different thing (homonyms, i think)... english diffinitely wasn't & still ain't my strong suit....heeheehee
!!! to my discovery & dismay, ms word spelling & grammar check isn't designed to catch those homonyms mistakes either. :uhoh21:
I learned to type back in the days of manual typewriters and never had occasion to use an electric. I gave my old Royal manual to Goodwill when I got my computer, and frequently wish I hadn't. My family always knows when I'm on the keyboard, because I still hit the keys like a manual--which is a prescription for typos. I ALWAYS have to edit before hitting "submit"
OK, this must NEVER leave the thread... but, I typo occasionally...ok I typo LOTS... (sheesh, my chat room would KILL for this information). But, I have a GREAT backspace and I'm not afraid to use it. The thing I find I type dyslexic the most, are words with "tion" in them... typing them "toin".
K, now I must hypnotize all of you so you won't remember any of my disclosure... "you are getting sleeeeeepyyyy.... you're eyes are heaaaavvvyyyy.... Lori is a perfect spelllllleeerrrrrr."
ok linda,
......hmm........you typed "tirde" now that could be tired dyslexic style?
or
it could be "tirde" as in a mispelling of something that belongs under the "how many names do you have for constipation thread! lmao!!! :chuckle
lori,
you don't have to do that, i'm always tired lately! lol! :roll
