TWU Spring 2023

Hello all, I noticed there wasn’t a topic yet for the Spring 2023 applicants for Texas Women’s University. Wanted to see how everyone is doing and how you all feel! Personally I am applying for the Houston campus but don’t feel great about my admissions score. My TEAS was an 84 and overall GPA is 3.6 and science 3.4 ? I also plan to apply to UTMB.

I found this excel sheet from the past group. I don’t know if it’s the same one.

Also, do we have to do the background check before the application deadline? I am just about to pay for it, but I am not sure if it’s necessary now or until one gets accepted. Did anyone pay for it yet?

FYI they don’t use this anymore per my pre nursing advisor. They changed it when they changed over to a more holistic application approach.  There is another that they use to decide, but they aren’t allowed to share it etc. you can calculate your GPA online with a GPA calculator by googling, etc!

OK, thanks. I can actually see my GPA from the nursing CAS verified application. I just thought there is a point system with the excel sheet including the TEAS scores. Because I see people saying their points are 50, 55 etc but not sure how they got it.

Yeah they’re using the old system which is that excel sheet that is not used anymore.  I only know because I asked on Friday.  Good luck!

Hi!! Can anyone confirm that “Verified” is the last application status we should see to conclude our application process? Just wanted to make sure everything is done right before tonight’s deadline!

Hello all, I will also be  applying as well for Spring 2023 for the Dallas campus and not sure about my scores, but I am also debating on applying for Night & Weekend program as well, which I heard was easier to get in. For the night and weekend program does anyone know if they get off for the holidays such as Christmas and Spring break?  I heard it was no breaks so just wondering were holidays included.  My TEAS score is 89, GPA 3.6, science GPA 3.9

Hey there! I was looking through some other allnurses pages for TWU for other semesters and I see they talked about their points and above 50 being competitive for Houston campus, for instance. Does anyone know of this points system or if they still use it and if they do how to find out what our scores are?

They do not use it anymore, per the pre nursing advisor I spoke to.  Since they moved to a more holistic application approach, the excel point sheet doesn’t apply to the process anymore.  They said they do have another system now for deciding, but can’t disclose it.
