TWU Spring 2023

Published

Hello all, I noticed there wasn’t a topic yet for the Spring 2023 applicants for Texas Women’s University. Wanted to see how everyone is doing and how you all feel! Personally I am applying for the Houston campus but don’t feel great about my admissions score. My TEAS was an 84 and overall GPA is 3.6 and science 3.4 ? I also plan to apply to UTMB.

Hello all, I will also be  applying as well for Spring 2023 for the Dallas campus and not sure about my scores, but I am also debating on applying for Night & Weekend program as well, which I heard was easier to get in. For the night and weekend program does anyone know if they get off for the holidays such as Christmas and Spring break?  I heard it was no breaks so just wondering were holidays included.  My TEAS score is 89, GPA 3.6, science GPA 3.9

Hello, My TEAS score and my GPA score is around the same but 1 point off . I am also applying for the dallas center which I heard from another dallas student that she got in with an 83 TEAS and 3.3 GPA. But I heard they take priority in their students first. But I hope I get in.

They do not use it anymore, per the pre nursing advisor I spoke to.  Since they moved to a more holistic application approach, the excel point sheet doesn’t apply to the process anymore.  They said they do have another system now for deciding, but can’t disclose it.

I realize reading more in this thread that has already been brought up, I'm sorry! But thank you for your info. Do you happen to know if they go off the nursing cas GPA calculations?

Do y’all know when we should get a decision?

I got my eligibility email this morning! It says they hope to send out admission decisions in October! ?

Me too. I just got mine few minutes ago. Did you do the background check already?

I did my background check back in August. I was told by an advisor that if I could it would be best to get it done before submitting the application. I know it said something like it can take up to 3 weeks or something to get it back but I got mine back within a few days!

They walk you through how to do it on the NursingCAS application under the Program Materials section and under the Home tab. There’s a different code for each campus and the background check is through Castle Branch

That I’m not sure. That would be a good question for an advisor. The background check is already $40-$50 for one so I doubt they’d have you pay for two but I don’t know. I’d call them & find out!

I tried and nobody is picking up LOL. I'm just glad there isn't a deadline for the background checks.
