TWU Spring 2023

Published

Hello all, I noticed there wasn’t a topic yet for the Spring 2023 applicants for Texas Women’s University. Wanted to see how everyone is doing and how you all feel! Personally I am applying for the Houston campus but don’t feel great about my admissions score. My TEAS was an 84 and overall GPA is 3.6 and science 3.4 ? I also plan to apply to UTMB.

I tried and nobody is picking up LOL. I'm just glad there isn't a deadline for the background checks.

I would think if you’re mainly applying for the Dallas campus and just selected that you’re also interested in the Houston campus, that you would submit a background check for the Dallas campus but that’s just my thought process on it LOL I’m only applying for Houston so I did not come across this issue. Maybe email them!

Hope we all get in! What stats are you all applying with?

You too!

I'm applying with a 3.75 GPA with an 87 TEAS score for Houston campus! I'm scared because my scores seem to be a little lower than a lot of people. I have a ton of experience, so hopefully that will help

TEAS 84 (82 on my first attempt) and 4.0 for my AA and pre-reqs. I'm applying to Dallas.
I'm kind of over it because the day before my first TEAS attempt, the advisor said I needed a 90 to be competitive and was totally shocked when I said that makes me feel like crap. I spoke to the proctor (I was trying to cancel my test) and she said, "that's crazy. if you're in the 80s, that's good."
To me, it is what it is. I did my best to meet the standards, and I'll try again for the fall if I'm not accepted to the program this time. Don't let anything I say discourage you, and don't let them get to you!

Yes! They told me the same thing. My states are real similar to yours. Hopefully those personal statements work in our benefit

They give extra points to twu students or applicants who complete bachelor degree. A transfer usually needs 4.0 with 90 TEAS.

Yeah, they also told me 4.0s are a dime a dozen. So that checks out.

Think we'll get decisions this week? Has anyone received an e-mail yet?

been waking up and checking my email every day !! hoping decisions are sent out this week!! crossing my fingers

It would be great if we heard back soon but I’ve heard TWU is known for sending out admissions decisions pretty late. Some of the current students were on my unit the other day, they started this past January, and they said they didn’t hear back til November :(

Praying we hear back this week!

While we are still waiting for acceptance emails for fall 2023, has anyone received these so called eligibility emails yet? does everyone get one?
