TWU Spring 2018

Published

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

@49erintx did you apply to both collin and twu? My intent was to apply to twu as well but I scored in the 75th percentile in the TEAS and I didn't have enough points to be competitive.

Which school would you choose if you get accepted to both?

I did apply at both. I honestly don't know the answer to that question. If I did the ADN and then bridge, I'd still get my BSN from TWU and be done in about the same amount of time (and for less $). I'm not entirely confident in my chances of getting accepted at TWU because although I did decent on the TEAS, I don't have a prior bachelors or point bump for classes at TWU, so my "magic number" is probably a little low to be competitive for the Dallas campus. I have faith that I'll end up where I'm supposed to be.

You are a shoe in for Collin, I am sure of it!

Greetings, future nurses! We just wanted to jump in with a quick request.

We're getting phone calls and emails from students asking about their admissions points/score. We are asking that you please not make those requests at this time. With our limited staff, we are simply unable fulfill this request for everyone who asks. Every email or phone call asking about admissions points takes time away from application processing.

We hope you understand, and we really do wish you the very best! :)

I'm in the exact same boat. I applied to both TWU (my first choice school) and Collin since I took all my prereqs there. How did you do on the TEAS?

My application was processed! My last name starts with the letter R.

Yaaaay thank you!

I should be next, I'm S!

Yaaaay got the processed e-mail. The anxiety in me kept saying something might go wrong with my application, especially because I did most of my prereqs at an out of state school. My last name ends in s.
