TWU Spring 2009

Published

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

I did not get any mail. Friends are calling and telling me great news and all I can say is "Congratulations." I am so proud for them, but it is so hard to not think about ourselves.

Let me tell all of you a funny...this will make you laugh

I went to the local post office to get a one-on-one lesson on how postal mail travels. I did this because my friends in Lewisville, Texas is further away than Lake Dallas and I just could not understand it. Now you know you are laughing...go ahead.:chuckle

I am actually thinking about writing a book on what to expect when waiting for Nursing School Admission.

I will need everyone's help because I would like to have personal accounts of each day from application to now.

Yes I am retaking a class which I'm making a A. I was ready for a rejection letter but I never thought in a million years I would have been waitlisted. I just want a answer, the waiting is killing me I just need to know!!!! :bluecry1:

My gpa is a 3.5 and a NET reading of 79. I knew this wasn't good enough to get in

Hopefully, I will have mail tomorrow whether email or snail mail.

I am not a glorious saint, but please take some time, go to a quite place, sit and think about how much you have accomplished!

You, I and others are going to continue to talk and get through this trying time!

DO NOT GIVE UP...he knows your real desires, my friend.

Not that this matters, but a strait 3.5 or 3.5__ ? Mine is a 3.548 and my net score is way lower than yours.

That is great that you are re-taking a class!! An A can boost the gpa tremendously and prove to admissions you are dedicated to the program. And being waitlisted is a good thing since you were not completely ruled out of the program. Therefore, you still have a chance. YAY. :yeah:

I have a 3.71 and 67 NET and no word.

I hope that doesn't sound selfish because I certainly do not mean it that way.

....and since I did not get a wait list email, that means that I will be getting a rejection letter.

my net score is about the same. I was really upset about that because I thought it was going to be so easy. I should have studied. I also have dyslexia so I read slow.

Nursetobe 12,

Maybe your letter just hasn't came yet. I can't imagine you getting rejected and I'm waitlisted.

I got an acceptance letter today too. My GPA was 3.9 (w no .4 adjustment since I didn't go to TWU) and my net was 81. Good luck everyone...

Although i already know my answer - i am still on the board checking furiously for any news...i will encourage each of you and be sad with those of you who may be sad - and i am anxiously awaiting to know your news as well. As nursetobe12 says - go to some quiet place and realize how far you have come already! I am shocked of myself that i've made it this far. We all have a plan - and it's an awesome plan. Sometimes we we may have the same plan, but we are sent to go with it at a different pace.
