Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:
Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?
Hello all,
Im thinking of applying to TWU houston for spring semester and I am about to do the TEAS on 26 july. I have a current GPA of 3.7, I also hold an associate of science degree.
I applied through the applytexas and sent all my transcripts to TWU and all the transcript were received by 26 june but haven't heard anything back from them As the the deadline is approaching i am really worried if i will be able to complete the NursingCas as well. I also just sent my transcripts to NursingCas today.
Does anyone know how long it takes NursingCas to verify transcripts and also if verification is needed before the deadline to be considered?
Thank you for you help! :)

hello Neha,
I think if I were you I will give them TWU a call or send them an email, just to make sure that they are processing your application. for my application, it only took them 3 days to review my transcript.
For NursingCas Once transcripts are successfully received in their processing center, it can still take up to 10 business days for them to be processed and posted to your application successfully.
Hello all,
I know this forum is primarily for discussing scores, but with the anticipation of getting accepted into the Spring 2019 Dallas traditional program, I am looking to move to Dallas to live closer to the school. I am in search of roomate(s) as well. Any suggestions on how to get in contact with people with the same interest?
Hi T_jay! Those are some great stats! Could you give some tips on how you studied?
Hi and thank you! I used the Mometrix teas book for a few months and the Pocket prep app a few days before the actual test. The app does cost money but I think it was worth it. Also I had just finished both A&P courses the week before the test and it really helped me on the science portion. Good Luck and feel free to ask me any other questions! :)

What do you mean? "Recognized"???
If you are referring to highly regarded, yes. Most of our clinicals are in the TMC and we are very highly regarded and preferred. I would say the top is a three way tie between TWU, UTHSC, and UTMB (I refuse to actually rank, but generally, most nurses I have met, are from one of these schools.
We also have one of the highest NCLEX first-time pass rates in the state.
You should really be paying attention to NCLEX pass rates, it's probably the most important determiner of the quality of education one receives from a nursing school.
