Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:

Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?

Hello all,

Has every one taken the teas exam yet? I am applying for Spring 2019, and planning to take the teas next week. Cutting it kinda close, but just wondering if anyone else is as well

I am retaking the TEAS on the 13th of August. I took one last week and was not happy with the results (or the proctor site). So no worries, you are still on track. Good luck!

Hi guys! I just came across this form and wanted to give my input! I am a transfer student from the University of Oklahoma and applied to the TWU Houston campus for Spring of 2019! I'll be 21 by the time that I am in the program, so I have no previous degrees nor TWU preference. My GPA is a 3.76 and my TEAS score is a 89.3% and my admission score is a 48.47! I spoke with a nursing advisor and was told that these numbers have me in good shape to be admitted to the Houston campus, especially being that the past average admission scores for Houston have been anywhere between 39 and 44. As far as studying for the TEAS, I took it 2 times. The first time I got an 81.3% and the second an 89.3%. The first time I only studied using ATI testing prep materials and Mometrix youtube tutorials. I found that these were not that lined up with the actual test, especially in the science and math sections, which was surprising to me. I ended up getting a tutor for the second time that I took it and that is what helped me! I hope that this helps :)

I have this question as well! However, I'm planning on moving to Houston and will potentially need roommates if I'm accepted, but don't know if there's some kind of forum like this for some roomies! :)

I plan on taking the Teas August 7th fir the secobd time hopefully i receive a 80% and above on each section! I will hwve an associate of science degree by the time i apply to the school. I applied to twu june 29th but i haven't received an acceptance letter! Any suggestions??

I never got an acceptance letter but was able to login to TWU through webadvisor and it says I am a student. I just thought my letter got lost in the mail. Maybe that would help?

Hello, try to call the school, or you can login to the web advisor portal, then it will show applicant or student

Has anyone sent their transcripts electronically to Nursingcas? If so how are yall sending them, by the PO box address? Thanks!

If you are sending them electronically your school has to send them and your school needs to have the same e-transcript as them. But if it is by mail, then you have to use the p.o box

Thank you! Good luck to you too!!

Also if you're taking it at the PSI center, I hear they don't give out results right away.

Does the transcript need to be received before the deadline or sent in before the deadline ?

Hello! I am new to this site but have been reading comments for the last couple weeks leading up to my TEAS exam which was today. Unfortunately I did not plan well and decided to take my TEAS this late and decided to apply for the August 15 Dallas traditional program. If ya'll don't mind, I would like some feedback on my chances as I am worried that since my TEAS score was not fabulous, I may have ruined my chances of getting accepted for the Spring 2019 program.

Please note I studied every other day about 2 weeks before my TEAS test. I should have prepared better. I was shocked that I did so awfully on the reading section which I studied the least for because I figured I did not need to study?? Lesson learned.

Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 4.00

Nursing Core GPA: 4.00

TEAS composite: 84.7%

Reading: 78.7%

Math: 87.5%

Science: 89.4%

English: 83.3%

TWU Preference: Yes

Admission Score: 65.63

received and verified before the deadline. Mine only took a couple days to be received. You should get a confirmation email.
