Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:

Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?

Hello all! Late to the thread, but I also just started my application for TWU's Spring 2019 Nursing program. I am unsure yet on whether to apply to the Houston or Dallas campus, but see that the Houston one is "less competitive". Waiting to get admitted to TWU first, and then my application will be complete. Best of luck to everyone!

I was wondering how long it took you guys to hear back if you were admitted to TWU?

It took a long time, because one of my transcripts had been sent multiple times and never received. When I figured outt he issue, I physically took my sealed transcript to the school in Houston, and 2 days later I was accepted.

If you are talking about being admitted as a transfer student to TWU, it took about 2 weeks after I finished my ApplyTexas application because they have to process the transcripts. You can check this on the TWU WebAdvisor. You can also call them directly about the status of your application and they are super nice about getting the information you need.

For the TWU nursing program, the advisors at the recent information session informed us we would receive acceptance or rejection letters around mid to late October for the Spring 2019 start.

Hope that helps!

I applied to for Fall 2018 and was denied, so I am reapplying for Summer 2019. I plan on retaking my TEAS because that was my weakest part of my application. My question is should I send in my application now since it is complete, pending my new TEAS score or should I wait until after I get my updated TEAS score? Is TWU like a first come, first Serve? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :)

Hey, good luck!!

Did you apply to the Dallas or Houston campus? Are you applying to the same campus you applied to the first time?

TWU is not first come first serve, so I don't think it will matter if you wait for your TEAS score. They just need all of your info by Aug. 15.

They base admission off of admission points and they have an excel sheet that you can input your info into. I also highly recommend making an appointment for the nursing advising session they offer. It's open to anyone interested in their nursing program!

Here's the link for the excel sheet

Yes I am reapplying to the same campus, Houston. Do you recommend applying to a different one? How do you make an appointment for the session?

If you're currently in Houston you should reapply to Houston. I know the Dallas campus is more competitive than the Houston campus.

If you don't mind sharing, what are your stats? Like nursing core GPA and TEAS? I'm looking to apply to the Houston campus too!

Hopefully we can be classmates in the spring :)

Houston Center - Texas Woman's University

There's a blue link called 'Schedule an undergraduate advising appointment'

If you go there you'll be able to schedule an appointment for whichever campus is closest to you!

so i get done with some classes on Aug 9, is there anyway the results can get to them before the 15th?

Both TWU and NursingCas need to receive updated transcripts by September 1.

Yes I'm in Houston. My stats are 3.78 GPA,I don't know my science GPA. TEAS Cumulative is 78.7, that's why I plan on retaking. Good Luck to you!

Hello! Does anyone know if TWU Houston nurses are as recognized within Texas Medical Center as I have heard about the TWU Dallas nurses within the Dallas Medical District?

Hope everyone's applications are going well!!
