I think it is time we get our own thread for those of us who have been accepted to TWU's Houston program and plan to attend.

Nowhere, I was just talking about in general terms over the next 4 semester IF we have morning clinicals. They usually assign us to either morning or evening clinicals.

oh ok thanks! i was just wondering if it said that somewhere and i just missed it because on the schedule of classes for ut it tells us clinicals will be at 630am but it could be wednesday, friday, or saturday. does anyone know if twu's clinicals will be on saturday?
NP! No, TWU's houston campus still has a lot of too be announced spaces. The Dallas campus has more insight on what's going on next semester it seems. It looks like were ganna have to either wait and hope to see some updates by Nov 16 when we register or when we attend the advisement session Dec 11.

Is anyone moving to Houston and will interested in finding a place? I am from Fort Worth and want to live in the med center area. I've heard parking is a hassle so anywhere within walking distance or on the metro line would be ideal.
i'm also going to be moving to houston, i haven't decided between twu and ut yet thought, and if i choose ut i will be applying for their university housing
Ali did you reach a final decision?
oops i didn't refresh before posting
not yet!

Hello all!
Well i am supposed to have my UTMB interview Friday but I have really been thinking about just cancelling it tomorrow because I have pretty much chosen TWU already I think. Does anyone know how old our Hep B shots can be..the sheet doesn't specify so i guess as long as you have them? I just have to get a varicella titer and my TB so I am going to get started on that this week. I am so ready for school to start...nervous but ready. I was previously enrolled in an associates degree program. During i had surgery and complications after surgery led me to fail my Med Surg class by ONE POINT! I could have retaken to start again but i chose not to go back there. it really sucked but to be honest the program was not all that great and I am glad it happened because it has led me to this wonderful opportunity. I feel from that i know alot of what to expect starting january though as far as clinicals and stuff. the tests are really different and HESI tests are too! we had to have hesi every 8 weeks in my program and it was weighed as a test grade..really sucked..and everyone always did so horrible. Does anyone know/heard about TWU hesi testing??
I have never heard about HESI testing after you are in...and i think when you get your titer for varicella they can test for Hep B antibodies...you should have them do that as well. I called and asked and they said that i needed proof that I still have Hep B antibodies.
