I think it is time we get our own thread for those of us who have been accepted to TWU's Houston program and plan to attend. :D

Hello Everyone

I recieved my packet on saturday too. But really due to this semester routine did not get a chance to check twu website for further details. Just noted down some important dates as "mau" mentioned for finger printing. Is there anyone who wants to apply for scholarship? I believe they have two scholarships but I have to look up further details. I live in kingwood and mentally preparing myself for 45 min daily drive. BUT EXCITED TO START PROGRAMME! I know we have one fellow who is coming from woodlands and one from katy area but how about others?

I can't wait either.I'm coming from the sugarland area. I'm also tryna to prepare myself for this drive especially when we have 6:00 am clinical rotations.I'm really not morning person so it's going to be something I definitely have to mentally prepare for as well. haha

I just realized, we start school pretty late compared to other nursing schools.I know UTMB starts at the beginning on January.

Hi everyone,

I received my info on Saturday. Luckily for me I recently had a Tetorifice, TB, Hep B, and polio(dont think this is needed) over the summer. So i am set for that! Unfortunately my mom cant find my Immu.Card so I am going to have to do a tither for the MMR and Varicella vacc. I am in the Spring area off of 2920 and Kuyendahl

Did you chcek the schedule for classes? I did few days back according to that one of our tuesday class will be in evening I think till 9pm and on mondays full day.PHARM is on thursday and then they were mentioning that for 2 courses we will have clinicals. When I visited houston campus ,during lab trips students were there taking lab clincials on saturday(by the labs their labs were really good). So I belive we should be ready for weekend schedules too. I am just afraid of one thing that we have to phelbotomy practise on each other.......

Is there anyone planning to take CPR at TWU?

Is there any one in the military? I am going to use my GI bill and just wanted to know if anyone was familiar with the process.

What schedule were you referring to at Noni79?.Yesterday I looked at the schedule through registration for next semester too by putting in the class numbers to get a feel of what our schedule will look like. They haven't assigned a lot of the professors it seems. Does anyone know how many clinical sessions we will have our first semester? Once or twice a week?

I am talking about schedule for 2010 for juniors. I put the course numbers just to check schedule for upcoming semester. You are right MAU they are not showing names of professor infront of every class. I think we will have 2 clinicals but "not sure offcourse."

where did ya'll find the course numbers?

go to main nursing page.look at sample schedule then pick the course numbers from there. U can look at this schedule too which I made from there
