I think it is time we get our own thread for those of us who have been accepted to TWU's Houston program and plan to attend. :D

yeah i bought nike shox, the shoes. theyre pretty plain and really comfy. hope they work. do you mind sending me the book list too? at orientation they said they ran out so i never got one. so whenever you get the chance to pleeaase pm me the book list Thanksss!!! I reeeeally appreciate it

I am applying to TWU Feb. 1 to begin (hopefully) in Aug. 2010. My nursing prereq is a 3.5 and I am taking the Hesi at the end of the month. I had taken the NET for UT and did not do well on reading and have heard it is really difficult to get into UT and I am thinking of just blowing it off and focusing on TWU, UTMB, and Lonestar....thoughts??? Also Did anyone get in w/ a 3.5? I know it depends on the hesi score as well but I have not taken it yet. I need everyones thoughts and opinions please.

The orientation for Jan 14 is posted on Black Board, guys. This is how it posted on Black Board "Nursing student orientation will be held on January 14, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in room 1120. You will be meeting your faculty for your courses, picking up the equipment you ordered, meeting with student mentors, and getting all of your questions about nursing school answered! Attendance is required."

Schmaltzey,Ut is not impoosible to get into if u really wanna try to get in try hard;however I would not make it ur only choice only school to apply to.I would definetly apply to Twu?Utmb etc for Utmb I'm sure a 3.5 is fine but for Twu I would try to get ur gps a little higher if possible because I think a 3.7 is very competitive for Twu.the hesi isn't bad all jut study te evolve reach guide u should be fine and try to do well and you should be fine.

You are welcomed Mau00. I think you should buy your books early because you don't want to wait till the last minutes. I got half of the books that we need. I ran out of money to buy the rest. =)

Haha yeah! I wanted to buy it last month but I was waiting got my award then I thinking I should have started buying them neways because I was called and it looks like they aren't awarding anyone until after the 12th!

i got my health assessment book and lab manual.

do you guys know how many classes we can take during the summer? during orientation they said we can only take one class from the fall. but what if we want to take one class from the fall and one class from the spring? would that work?
