I think it is time we get our own thread for those of us who have been accepted to TWU's Houston program and plan to attend. :D

Are any of ya'll buying an older versions of the any of the books we're going to need. I have a friend that is graduating this semester and wants to sell her books but I'm hesitant about buying them.....what do ya'll think?

I thought about that too using that last ed of the fundamentals book and health assessment book my sis used,but I'm just going to buy the newer version of everything.There really is no difference,but just to avoid unnecessary stuff,like having different page numbers then the rest of the class and having to flip through it.If your paying for your books out of pocket I would just buy the older books to save money,but if your taking out loans or whatever,just buy the newest ed.

i'm using the 2004 version of fundamentals of nursing. i asked one of the students there and he said it should be the same thing. as for the other books, i'll probably be getting the older editions too. i'm just very cheap with my books. you can always just compare your books at the beginning of the semester with a friend to double check the info/page numbers/etc.

Has anyone ordered or bought their nursing shoes?What kind of shoes do we need? Where are some places I can find some great quality nursing shoes? If anyone knows any info about this

ehh i just bought some shox lol hope that works just as well as those nursing shoes.

Ohh i thought u said shoes not shox lol.I dunno what we are allowed to wear.I've heard they have to be really plain.I know this one girl that bought these shoes that i think would have been wearable in place of the typical nursing shoes that looked really nice,but she wasn't allowed to wear it because they said they were too "candace" lol

I was wondering if anyone can post a list of the textbooks that we need for january. I think i must have misplaced mine somewhere and blackboard is only showing info for one class :cry: Thanks!
