TWU Spring 2010 Houston Regular Program

I think it is time we get our own thread for those of us who have been accepted to TWU's Houston program and plan to attend.

The thing is I don't get my loan money until next month right b4 school and I wanted to buy them online now so I probably am just going to buy them at the bookstore that they said is going to be closing.But my sis has the same concepts book we are using but the last edition,but I'm probably till just going to buy the new books..

So after last friday I went home to register. The system was not letting me register because of the way TWU coded my anatomy and physiology courses. I emailed my advisor and tried to register for the course again. Now it says that the course is full and i should look for another seciton or go on the waitlist...I think that I should go ahead and waitlist...I emailed my advisor again, so I guess i just need to wait and see.

I can email you the syllabus since I don't know know to open up the blackboard for new students.Did you try the 2 link I posted to ivetter?

Does anyone know how much tuition will be for this upcoming Spring semester? I looked at their website and it says tuition for 16 credit hours (resident)= $3,859.20. Is this correct?

Yeah,that's about right.My balance for only the registered classes reads $3,427.32

Is anyone trying to their CPR training this month?I know a place on westheimer that is healthcare provider and AHA approved for like 40 bucks.I never signed up for the one they are doing at TWU because I wanted to get it done earlier cuz I may be out of town then.Does anyone know how much they are offering to do it for?

um...can we not register for classes after 5pm or something? i can't log on...

also, did anyone else have trouble getting in for patho? i'm on the waitlist right now. do you guys know what would happen if the class end up being full for the spring semester?

I'm not sure about what your talking about about the registration after 5.I just know they are closing it on Dec 21 and reopening registration on Jan 4th.

There was a problem with me registering on Monday,but it was fixed,so I luckily got to register for all my classes. I noticed it was saying like 3 seats left too, and I was also wondering that as well about enough seats being available.I think they are going to add more seats,because it wouldn't make any sense for them to not to have enough seats since they admit only a certain amount of students each application period.Also, I looked at the seat capacity for the patho this fall, and it says a capacity of 100, so I'm sure they are going to add more spots before the semester begins.

Yeah,I'm positive they will, because accepted as much students based on the amount of class spots and teachers available,and there is only that one patho class at the Houston campus with only that teacher,so don't even worry about it.But you should call the Houston campus so you can be more at ease confirming it before the holidays. =]
