Spent almost 600 for books because nobody told me or helps me so here I am. You need your Assessment book and the workbook. You need your Concept book, Clinical book and Care Plan books You dont need to buy Pharm book or Patho book When I get home today, I will post all the name of the books that you need in more details. By the way, alot of Junior II are selling their books, you guys should look around instead of paying big bucks for books. I can contact them for you guys or give them their numbers to you guys if you want to buy the books that you would like to have just for reference like pharm book =) or Careplan books.

yeah you dont need to read the book. I didn't. For our class, we just study all the powerpoint and relisten to his lecture from a recorder and retype the whole lecture up.

By the way for Patho, you guys dont need to read the book for Patho. Attending his lectures, studying his powerpoints (I dont mean only powerpoints) along with all the lectures that he would give then you ll make A or B. Now his lecture is very informative, so you need to have a recorder that would record everything, then you go home and listen to them again and typed out everything, and study them. I can let yall borrow my notes.

Clinical hours would be divided out accordingly to each group. TWU Houston separated you guys out into a group of 10 students. Each group can either have Tuesdays as their clinical day, Weds, Thurs, Friday or Saturday. You guys have to be at the hospital by 6:30 and then get to leave around 1:30, depending on the teacher because some of them will keep you guys back until 2 or 3 for post conference. Before clinical day, you guys have to have a CARE PLAN that is ready to be turned in. (CARE PLAN IS A PAIN)

On the day of our first orientation, I asked a professor who said we can only take one class for one summer. I think I will ask again to clarify cause I want to take more than one to save the time during regular semester.

You are welcomed Mau00. I think you should buy your books early because you don't want to wait till the last minutes. I got half of the books that we need. I ran out of money to buy the rest. =)

The orientation for Jan 14 is posted on Black Board, guys. This is how it posted on Black Board "Nursing student orientation will be held on January 14, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in room 1120. You will be meeting your faculty for your courses, picking up the equipment you ordered, meeting with student mentors, and getting all of your questions about nursing school answered! Attendance is required."

Hi Jasmine and Ali!!! I faxed mine on last Friday and received the letters on Monday. These are the information which are stated: 1. Attendance at advisement session held on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 8 am to 1 pm. You will select your class schedules, complete registration, turn in your immunization, order uniforms, books, supplies and sign up for CPR. 2. Attendance at orientation sessions held in HOuston on Jan 14, 2010 for the College of Nursing and January 15, 2010 for TWU. Attendance is required; times will be announced. 3. Need completion of criminal background screening and drug screening. 4. We also need proof of immunization. I will post it later because right now it is 2am already. Sorry guys.
