TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Your welcome! Just do a search by course number, Houston and fall 2019 semester. They will come up. The syllabi were pretty informative and the one for patho is very specific. Once I got the pharmacology book I realized it won’t be as hard as I thought. Someone who is currently a S1 student said that assessment has the most amount of reading. I have read the first 200 pages or so.
Like you, the waiting is very difficult and I would just like to know one way or another at this point.

I know the next two weeks will fly by, so I'm getting excited!! Would be amazing if they let us know sooner ?

These are the books being used for Fall 2019 in Houston according to the syllabi.


Health Assessment in Nursing , 6th edition, by Weber and Kelley

Pathophysiology 6th edition by Banasik and Copstead

Lehne’s Pharmacology for Nursing Care 10th edition by Burchum and Rosenthal

note: concepts isn’t listed here.

Same I'm about to unsubscribe from UT so I don't get my hopes up lol. Hopefully 8 more days! OR if anyone from TWU is reading this we'd be glad to know tomorrow too, I would be ok with that ?

Hey guys!! I'm seeing a lot of questions on here and I wish someone who had gotten in was there to answer them from the previous semester. But here are some of the answers to the questions I'm seeing above. Regarding the TEAS test, they didn't do the composite score thing - and I got in for Fall 2019. My score was 58.7 just as some point of reference. When taking studying for the exam, I would read the ATI training booklet science portion cover to cover....and I also bought the online manual that had quizzes and tests, which I took over and over again. Unfortunately, I had to drop out of the program within the first week due to family commitments, etc. So, I still have my uniforms with the patches attached - if anyone wants to buy them at a discount, you are welcome to them! They were a hassle to get last time! Anyway, please feel free to email me if anyone has any other questions....I remember jumping out of my seat when I got my acceptance email so I know how you guys feel!! ? Good luck!
