TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Hey everyone -

I caved in and called admissions in Denton. They confirmed decisions will not go out until the tail-end of next week, if not the first part of the following, so 10/31 - 11/8.

I just wanted to share the info because I know we're all waiting on pins and needles! Looks like we'll need to wait a bit more. Good luck to you all!

Thanks so much for that! My gut says next Friday!

oohhh

I am so sorry for the confusion, yes I was talking about UT not pioneer portal

So I just got accepted to th UTMB Summer Nursing Program. Is anyone familiar with this program or how it might differ from the TWU program other than the length of the programs? Thanks in advance!

Congrats!! I honesty don't think it differs besides the time it takes to complete, but if you are starting in Summer 2020 I believe you would graduate August 2021 so it is only a 4 month difference between UTMB and TWUs graduation in December 2021! No matter what nursing school you go to in Texas, we are taught the same things! I think it comes down to personal preference, both programs are some of the top ones in Texas!

Thank you for your response and input! I appreciate it! I'm still going to wait to hear back from TWU and TAMU before I submit my acceptance for UTMB. I had actually forgotten I had applied to UTMB summer program since I got denied for the Spring semester so the acceptance letter seemed to come out of left field lol. I need to rethink my nursing strategy and timeline now.

Right!? I live in Hermann Park/Med Center so that's why I only applied to TWU and UT! Well I applied to UH too but only as a last resort option.
