TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

I prefer ebooks because you can easily search keywords. I went full digital last year and it’s really helped me organize my notes and my time management. Plus, I hate carrying heavy bags! The less things I have to remember to bring everyday, the better!

Those backpacks are really cute! I might get the pink and gray one if it’s still in stock when I go school shopping! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve watched a couple of “What’s in my bag” YouTube videos from nursing students about their backpacks and most of them say to get a bag with lots of pockets, so that’s helpful! The target backpack seems like it fits their descriptions perfectly!

Hahaha I watched so many too and literally made a shopping list for what I'll need once I get accepted somewhere ? I use a backpack for my current job so I used that as an excuse to get this one when I saw it at Target!

I have a question. In order to get the eligibility email do I need to have the Psychology course and the statistics course completed?

I believe so. I spoke to an advisor the other day and if I can recall correctly, you’ll need to have completed your pre-requisites in order to apply and be eligible.

From what I understand the stats class needed to be completed by the application deadline. Per the TWU site:

Students with a prior bachelor's degree do not need to meet the state core curriculum, but must have the 25 credit hours of nursing core prerequisites completed to apply.

Oh ok thank you guys for responding!! I was just asking because about two weeks ago I got an email from TWU saying they needed syllabi from two of my classes psych and stats, but I was having trouble getting them but today I just received another email from TWU saying that my application was processed and I was eligible for consideration lol so I’m like so I guess they didn’t need them? Lol

Maybe they reached out to your school's to get them! But yay I'm glad it worked out! What's your admissions score? I know you and I have been on a few forums now so hopefully this is finally the opportunity we've been waiting for!

Lol yea I’m glad that it all worked out! And yea we have been in this nursing school struggle for a bit together lol I’m rooting for us both! And I think it was like a 53 point something? But I can’t remember exactly because I did it so long ago lol

Hi friends!

I've been fighting bronchitis and my doc has had me on strict rest (read: bored out of my mind/going stir crazy) so I went ahead and created a Facebook group page to have ready for when decisions go out! I've had a lot of DMs here on AllNurses so I thought setting up this group would be a good idea since sometimes questions get lost in this forum. I am no expert, but I have done quite a bit of research, met with advisors and ask staff a ton of questions so I am always willing to share anything I know!

I have it set as a secret group for now since we aren't technically accepted yet, so I'm not sure if it will even let you click that link and join. If someone wants to test it out and let me know, I can change it to closed if it doesn't let you join ?

Hopefully only 13 more days y'all! I feel like I was just clicking submit on my application yesterday and now the time is almost here! Have a great rest of y'alls weekend ? ?
