TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Yes! I have heard so many great things from alumni that have made me so excited for this program. I have applied to other school's, but I've not been getting the best vibes and have heard some things that turn me a bit off from them.

It’s my first choice also! I really like how transparent they are with their admissions decisions. I toured the campus and it was nice. Plus it’s right next to Methodist where one of my good friends works. I am superrrrr excited to meet everyone and make new friends!

I'm so happy to see so many good vibes in this group y'all!! Makes me feel good about who my future cohort memebers could be! Because while yes we as individuals have to determine our own success, it comes easier when you around like-minded and motivated people! I hope they let us know on November 1, I seriously get so hyped up as the day gets closer!

What are y’alls back up plan if you don’t get accepted? Mine would be to retake the TEAS, & hopefully score 90% or better (I scored 86%) & re-apply for the spring deadline

Hope one of the other school's i applied to accepts me! BUT since TWU is so transparent with their admissions process, I do feel confident in my score so I am crossing my fingers! Which campus are you applying too and what is your score? An 86% on the TEAS is the average for acceptance!

I would say the same. Retake the teas (I also scored 86%) and reapply. ??

I got accepted into TCCs program and might just start there and do the RN to BSN . Its way closer to my house anyways and way more cost efficient.?

Specializes in Pediatrics, Family medicine.

If I do not get in then I will go to Wharton Sugarland since I have already received my acceptance notification. It is for ADN but I can just bridge over to BSN with UH Sugarland.

Very excited either way... and VERY anxious!

My backup plan is to go to LSU SON. It’s my last choice as I would rather be in the medical center, but I received my acceptance letter already.

Does anyone know if TWU uses e books? I know it’s kind of early, but I can’t stop thinking about what backpack to buy ? I’m way too excited!

Wow LSU that's awesome!! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas. I believe there are plenty of ebooks availble plus traditional books if you prefer that route. And I know what you mean with the excitement! I was aimlessly walking around Target and their backpacks were on sale so I grabbed one! It's comfy, has a laptop sleeve inside, padded strappes and a good amount of compartments. Most of the colors are sold out but there's a few left

Has anyone NOT received their email from TWU stating whether or not you are eligible for consideration for the program? Just hoping we'll be "on schedule" for the "estimated" decision date of November 1! 16 days and counting friends! (although I'll gladly take a decision sooner :)!) Wishing everyone good luck everyday!

Thanks! I have a previous bachelor’s from LSU! I’m applying to Houston!! I’m soooooooooooo excited!!!! I can’t wait!

I prefer ebooks because you can easily search keywords. I went full digital last year and it’s really helped me organize my notes and my time management. Plus, I hate carrying heavy bags! The less things I have to remember to bring everyday, the better!

Those backpacks are really cute! I might get the pink and gray one if it’s still in stock when I go school shopping! Thanks for sharing!
