TWU Spring 2020 Hopefuls?

Updated:   Published

Hey! I'm applying to TWU for Spring of 2020. It's super early, but apps are due this Summer. Anyone else applying? I'm super nervous and I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to prepare for the TEAS! Also if anyone knows how many points are considered competitive let me know!

Hey everyone!

Is the email coming through NursingCAS or TWU email portal?

I received my NursingCAS verification at the beginning of August, but am still waiting on TWU....my last name starts with a T.

When I received mine it went straight to my personal email, never to my TWU. Try checking spam too. They are not doing it alphabetical. It is coming in ways because batches are being handled by different people.

It comes from TWU directly!

Happy Monday y'all! I think about this group daily and we are getting closer and closer! Really hoping for the best for everyone and just wanted to let you know I'm rooting for ya'll! Hopefully we find out in the next 3ish weeks and then we can finally rest easy. Have a great rest of ya'lls week!

Yes! I have heard so many great things from alumni that have made me so excited for this program. I have applied to other school's, but I've not been getting the best vibes and have heard some things that turn me a bit off from them.

I know a couple current students who have said good things about TWU too! I saw the Houston campus the other day and it was way better than I pictured.
Hm I wonder what red flags you saw with the other schools ?

It is nice!! Just things like it's too fast of a program, not enough time in clinicals, students not attending class and then failing an exam but blaming the professor lol. But I'm sure evey program has their hiccups, TWU included, but I've not heard of them yet lol.

At the end of any program we all become BSN, RN so it is up to us as individuals to take it seriously and make the most of it!

Ah, I see. When I’ve talked to others about ABSN programs they are surprised when I tell it’s 15-16 months, thinking it’s way too short for a student to get enough experience from the programs. But two years is more understandable. The TWU students I’ve talked with express getting plenty of clinical exposure, so that’s nice!
And wow that sounds like a problem with the students instead of the program haha.
You’re right, we are all responsible for our own future in the end!

I've decided to attend a different accelerated program! do you know who i should contact at TWU so somebody else will get a spot if i was to be accepted?

Congratulations on your acceptance!!! Where are you heading off to if you don’t mind me asking?

I believe you can just contact [email protected] and let them know.

Edit: Never mind, I just saw your UofH post. I’m happy for you!!
