I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
Hi! The first wave of acceptances from UTHSC went out 2 weeks ago. Check your status on myuth :)
I didn't apply there this semester, it last Fall. I was thinking the spring before that they sent out letters in Nov. but I could've been wrong. UT-HSC denied me in the fall but then turned around and called me in Aug to say I was next on the list and if I was still interested but my family and I just moved and got settled in Fort Worth then so it was too late. I put all my eggs in one basket this time because UTA's prereqs were different. But not giving up hope yet!
I got accepted into the Dallas program and I am still in shock. However, one of my very dear friends did not get accepted. Needless to say I am happy and sad at the same time. Here are my stats:
GPA = 3.84
Post-baccalaurette
3/4 first attempt A's (A&P 1, A&P 2, and Microbiology)
68 TEAS
No Bump

For those who did not get accepted, I am deeply saddened and don't give up. Keep chasing your dreams to make them a reality.
I applied at Dallas! Lets hope that we are up there on the waiting list. I don't want to do all this crap over again. Do you know if we have to take the Teas-V again if we reapply?

Today was just the 1st day of emails being sent, your friend could still be accepted.

I think I read that scores are good for two application periods. I could be wrong though.
Accepted to the Dallas Campus! Congrats everyone!! yay!! :)
My stats were: gpa 3.68, 4 out of 4 prefs, 90 on the Teas, TWU bump. If you did not get an email, do not get discouraged. There are several people who are declining their acceptances. As soon as TWU gets the forms of whether or not the students are declining or accepting, they will send out more emails. Keep your head up! It's not over yet!! :)
I am so excited to meet everyone in December at orientation!
