TWU Spring 2013 Applicants!

Published

Hello!:yeah:

I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?

After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.

So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!

I am patiently (okay, but not so patiently) waiting for acceptance letters to be sent out! I am so nervous, I have an A in all 4 of my prereqs and an 80 on my TEAS my overall GPA is 3.652, what all is included in your science GPA?

I'm anxiously waiting now too. :/ can we know now! I think science GPA is just the four classes. Stats, micro, a and p, and chemistry. I think... I could be wrong. I hope we all get in. :) get this worrying out the way. Come on November (or even earlier).

They always say earlier, but it ends up being November. At least last year it was. It sucksssss waiting allllll this time.

It takes so much of me to take my mind off of this waiting.

It's a mixture of anxiety and nervousness with a hint of sweetness derived from the fact that at least least we got past the deadline.

Now that I think of it, I can't believe that (almost) a whole month has passed since the deadline ... hopefully November gets here just as soon! :(

That's how I felt last year, and then I didn't get in. So this time around I am being calm and trying not to think about it too much. I suggest the same. You can't change much now, you can just wait and see. You did your best and it will pay off. :-)

Also try to keep yourself busy. :-) that helps a lot. Especially when November gets closer its gonna feel like forever.

Thanks Nela87. Good luck to all!

*fingers crossed*

I just talked to one of the advisers and she did confirm that it'll be the beginning of November before they send out any correspondences.

NOOOoOOOOO!!! I was really hoping end of October. :( *sniff*

Does anyone have a suggestion on affordable locations to get vaccinations? I want to at least get started on the hep B.

I heard that county health departments offer really low prices on vaccinations! Look up your county's health department on google and you should be able to find more information and where the closest location to you is :D

At my local health department the price for vaccinations are between $20-25 and nothing more or less. It's very inexpensive compared to the prices at student health.

Does anybody know how many applicants applied to each location? Like, how many applied to the Dallas location and how many applied to the Houston location?
