Hello!:yeah:

I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?

After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.

So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!

@ambrekai Correct I can take it because its a different application period I tripled check with them lol. @ Bmart am applying to Dallas how about you?

actually i met with an advisor today, and houston is NOT easier than dallas. It changes with each semester. It just depends on who is applying and what there stats are.

Good luck!!! Study study study, and remember that the actual test is WAY easier than the practice tests you get through ATI. You'll do great!

That's GREAT to know! I took an online practice test yesterday and only scored a 80%...so that kinda bummed me out! Going to study hardcore today and tomorrow and take another practice test on Thursday :)

Exactly! It can only be as hard or easy as the people applying :) I thought it was odd that people were saying it was easier to get into...especially since the Houston campus has the same requirements as the Dallas campus.

Yeah I totally agree! Nursing school is difficult all over Texas now days! I thought those comments were weird as well. And I meant interactive on this nursing site!

Hi BMart I'm super late! I'm actually applying for Fa2013 now, because I completely forgot that I had to finish the core before I could even apply. So this summer I session I took Nutrition, and Fall 2012 I'm taking Statistics, art, and retaking ENGL 1013 & HIST 1013 because I made C's in those, and my advisor suggested that I retake them to make A's. Other than those two classes I have one other C, and two B's. The rest of my grades are A's. So when I finish I expect to have between a 3.7 and 3.8 GPA. I take the TEAS next Thursday! A little nervous but anxious to get it over with.

Oh yeah and I'm applying to HOUSTON that's where I live. People say its "easier" because there are less applicants here than in Dallas. If you're a TWU student you know that the majority of the students in Denton are from the surrounding areas of DFW. Therefore, they have a larger pool of applicants which makes it "harder" to get in. More competition.

Are you talking about the practice test on ati? I was thinking about buying it, but I heard they don't help much. What do you think? All I have is the book.

Yes I am! I actually bought both form A and form B because there are SO many threads on AN that say these tests help prepare for the real thing! Most people say that the tests are harder than the real TEAS so it really helps you prepare. Hey, anything that helps me bring my score up is worth it to me ;)

I'm also going to take the paper tests in the back of the ATI book. I think all in all, having taken the 4 tests and read the book cover to cover, I should *hopefully* be prepared come Monday!
