Hello!:yeah:

I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?

After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.

So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!

3.6gpa, 74%, First attempt A's on everything but Microbiology, 2nd Degree applicant. Keeping my finger crossed!

What are your stats?Any other updates going on out there with info regardin the Houston process. I feel most of the comments are for Dallas process. As for as the Houston applicants we can not take patho prior to enrollment. Spoke to the advisor she said there are not enough sections! Oh well. First thing is first and that is getting accepted!! Who is applying to the Houston location?

4.0, all first attempt A's, and I have yet to take the TEAS (will be taking it on the 23rd). I'm so ready to take the TEAS, as it's the last piece of the application process for me because I already sent in my application. I wish it were November already!

My old GPA was a 3.73 I believe and I had a 72 on my TEAS, and I did not get in. My new GPA is 3.84 and I will be taking the TEAS again because I was told that getting above an 80 is competitive, unless your GPA is a darn 4.0 which mines isn't. SO here I go again. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask because I have been through this quite a few times. I wish everyone the best of luck guys!

Did you have first attempt A's on the four classes? or any pref.? Did you speak to a advisor to get advice as to why you were not accepted?

The advisor told me just to make a higher grade on the TEAS the second time but I went ahead and retook a class as well. They don't tell you why you didn't get in. I got first attempt A's on two of those. For everyone applying the Dallas campus is a hell of a lot more competitive than Houston, last semester Houston applicants were accepted with 3.4s and so on.

Hey guys I need help with this patho class. It is no offered at Houston TWU for us so does anyone have a clue where else I could take it prior to Spring like the Denton/Dallas students? I heard UTA but i have no course number, and I want to know if it will transfer.

Ask your advisor! They may have an idea of where to go...or even if they will take a course that is transferred in. I know in Dallas it's hard to get patho transferred in because they highly prefer you take it at TWU, and you have to have special permission to have it transferred in. See if you can get that permission from your advisor, maybe?

Spoke with my advisor today. She said we can not talke patho prior to spring. And it will not transfer in from another school bc it has to be taken at TWU. You can take it during the summer prior to starting in the fall but that's about it!

I took it back in January and plan to retake it in August and I am freaking out AGAIN like last time I have horrible test anxiety =/ and the fact that this is the last piece to the puzzle is making it worst.
