Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!

About me

I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed :uhoh3:

OKay so how did some of you get in with 60's on the teas? I had a 3.7 and an 86 and I didn't get in!

AMAE- Did you retake any of the major nursing courses like A&P 1&2, Micro, Stats, and Nutrition?? Did you get A's in the all? (on first try?) I had a TEAS in the 60s but I also had all first attempts with As in all the pre-reqs with the exception of Lifespan and Chem, which were Bs. I don't know if it helped or not but I also took that qualitative math class they seem to like so much.. maybe that helped, who knows.

No, I didn't have A's in the first attempts. Just one. I guess the first attempts are more heavily weighted than I thought. Darn my chemistry teacher! He gave me a B in chem with an 89.4. :(((( An A in that class could have changed everything! lol

Congrats though! TWU was my first pick, but I got into another school, so I am just thankful I'm starting in january. :D

has everyone received an email saying if they have been accepted/rejected for Houston campus? I havent received an email of any sorts. but reading past entries it seems that someone was told all the slots are filled for Houston campus so Im not sure what to do? call and see if I was not accepted and create an awkward conversation? anyone got any advice? just wait it out?

They have definitely sent out acceptance letters (I have not heard of anyone getting a rejection letter)- If you were in the initial acceptance group, you would have heard by now. The fact that they haven't sent out rejections leads me to believe they still have a waitlist of some sort- perhaps spots will open up after the December 9th orientation?

You should call and see if you're on a waitlist..
