I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
i did my fafsa back in feb or march. so i know they have it. i dont know what else i would need to do. i havent been on the website, but im about to go and check. i got the sar and the efc but now i dont know what else. how will they calculate how much i get. when can they tell me how much i qualify for.
BUT i also need to apply to the school, i have until july 1 for the priority deadline for the fall, so when i go up there in tuesday i will pay the app fee and ill go by the finacial aid office. this is going to be a big relief now that i can receive grants and financial aid. i do have another question. when applying for apts and they want you to make x amount times the rent. will they take my financial aid and loans as income. in my last apartment i showed them a preapproval loan from sallie mae of 10k (and i didnt even get it) and it worked. but as far as trying to get an apt again, i dont know what i can show them since i wont be working.

R33sa go ahead and fill out the CIF online. They will make u fill that out anyways. No its not too late to apply. The money you get from the gov might take a lil longer to get since TWU priority date was april 1st but u will still get it
Prettyladie once u fill the fasa oit it usually takes a couple of weeks for the school to receive it and process the information. Does midwstern make u do anything else?? Have u checked their aid website?
