I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
hello to everyone old and new . I'm hoping for at least a guy or two to room with, but any small group of girls (2-3), I'm sure no one would wanna live one on one, I'd be willin to shack up, lol. So sign me up for the apt road trip, and let's keep those sights on like 500 a person! I like that one that has internet and utilities, it sounds like the best deal, but I'm cool with whatever.
I'm down with living with 1 or 2 people..The more the merrier and the cheaper :) ... so how close do ya'll want to live to the medical center so I can start looking for some apartments.. I prefer gated as well.. I currently live in a gated apartment in College Station and it makes me feel a lot safer even though I know it does not keep everyone out...I plan on going to Houston in two weeks again to try to find some places..so let me know who wants to room...because living by alone would cost to much...Any plans on where we are going to meet after the advisement session yet?
i plan on moving sometime in august. I would move in over the summer but the class is only once a week.
Ruchita, that's good that you know people living in the med center/downtown. Mayb they can help find a place for us. lol
Trulyblondie... about were to meet up, not sure yet. We will all be there on campus so we'll just find each other. Mayb we can carpool when we go apartment hunting so save alot of hassle.
Yea carpooling would be awesome..I drive an SUV so I can fit a lot of people in my monster of a car.. BTW.. my real name is Robyn and I am really not blonde :) I plan on moving sometime early August also because that's when most apartment complexes have the most openings. I am so excited about meeting all of you..I hope we are able to find each other!
hi guys! def. sounds like a plan about meeting! robyn we have a facebook thread.. called TWU class of 2011..so you can have a better idea of who we are.. hopefully you can recognize us then =)..! but lol everyone probably wants wants to be roomies with each other! lol if only we had found an apt, for 10 of us at once.. lol.
Yea it would make things easier..but we all should stay at the same apartment complex so then when we want to do study groups it would be easy for us to get together :) ..and we would def. make a killer study group LOL
