I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
It's marron bottoms and a white shirt.
Yeah I mean the more money you spend the safe the place is going to be...but that's something alot of us can't do right now. So you'll have to settle for less. However, I would make sure that they are safe at least. Because alot of apts in the med center area aren't.
sophia a clinic who did all that for 10$ wow you are sooooo luckky, lol i paide 124 for only three shots.! lol. so i still have not got the drug test thingy done yet, the lady said we all are in a pool and they just choose randomly before our deadline.
most apts just look good on the outside.. but honestly i think the best place to live would prolly be somewhere where you know couple people living there, thats the only way we will actually find out the truth behind apts. i really wanna be in an apt where its gated.. thats a lil bit of safety rather than none.
just to all the girls planning on living out.. dont room by yourself. i went to UH, and the surrounding area is not all that great. and UH happens to be about 10 mins away from med center..
we should all live in the same apts... that sounds like fun!!
even though i have lived in houston 21 yrs of my life, downtown is one place i barely go to.. but my cousin has been living at UH for the past three years. and my bf has his cousin living in med center as an intern...so he will find out about her living place and im going with my cousin on sat, just to look at some places maybe about 5 mins or less from medcenter.. once i get the info.. ill post what i have then on advisement day who ever is down to look around.. we can all go..
but just FYI.. most apts wont let us sign the lease until a month in advance..
who all plans on moving in the summer? or aug?..
i planned on doin it the first week of august.. but if i have to do it sooner than i will

I heard the same thing...when I went to go try to find apartments, some of the people showing them said that with it being Houston its going to happen no matter if its a good community or not. They told me that they recommend not leaving anything in your car and maybe getting a car alarm..So that sounds very welcoming..LOL..
Man, I've been trying to look up apartments..and its so frustrating when some places don't have websites. Oh well...Does anyone know the scrub colors for TWU..I'm just curious...and I figure anxious too to get started already :)
