TWU Houston Fall 2009

Published

I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.

I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.

I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!

(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)

Man, I missed ten pages, I think that's a record, I never slack that much! I hope everyone is doing well, and littlerae is awesome for answering all those questions. I was like a 3.65 as well, and I can't remember my net at all, so maybe her net was just low? *clueless*

can someone post the link for the books because I want to start looking for them too...thnx!

HEY!

I was accepted to TWU in Houston and was wondering if any of ya'll found any good apartments nearby. Also, do any of ya'll know about any of those work programs at the hospitals that allow you to work at the hospital and they pay for your schooling??

Thanks! It's such a hassle to find an apartment and a job!

WELCOME TO OUR THREAD TRUEBLONDY2006.

I'm looking for an apartment too.... I took a look at the apartment suggested by ruchita33, the price is a little stiff...like 740 for one bed apt. But it looks nice, I might go and take a look at it. i still wish to have a roomate to share the cost though. :p

As work wise, I don't know the anwer to the question, sorry!

Yea...I was looking at apartments near the medical center..but the ones I found were over 1000 dollars for a one bedroom. Someone suggested trying to find an apartment in the surrounding areas like pearland and friendswood..but still no luck with that! Yea.. a roommate would be nice because half those apartments don't include the utilities in the price!

look at the parque del oro, it is like 740 for one

including high speed internet

with utility...about 800 dollars, a little stiff but good price for medical center
