I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)

SO have you guys bought books yet or are you going to wait till after we meet on may 8? ALso, what is the website for the online bookstore for twu? i don't know were to find it.
I'm so happy my boss is giving me thrusday off so i can take patho over the summer! I guess i'll c u guys who are taking it there. Count me in for the study group!!! lol

Littlerae26 you don't know how much help u have been. Thanks so much. Do you have ur internship lined up yet?? I was looking online and saw methodist has a externship over the summer I would like to do next summer. Do you know any students who did this or a externship at another hospital?? I'm happy I don't have to buy books for all my classes now. I won't be able to buy books till may. I still need to get a booster shot n I have no insurance so I will be out of some money for that plus all the stuff on may 8th.
Oh sorry... because I heard lot of people who got accepted to medical school have to pay like 500 bucks to reserve their spots. I just want to make sure I did not miss anything important like that on the acceptance letter. I am being super paranoid.
I don't think my interview went to great. They r interviewing everyone who applied for the job awhile ago. I really don't have experience in the area they wanted plus never worked in a hospital. But I'm not worried about it patho will keep me busy
