TWU FNP Fall 2021

Hi everyone!

I just got accepted into the TWU online FNP program for fall 2021! I couldn't find an existing thread, so figured I'd start one. 

Anyone else out there who will be joining? Excited to start and hopefully get to know some people.

I did receive the email from the account in which I submitted my application, not the TWU email account, despite it stating official communication will be from there.

Hi congrats on your acceptance. Just a few questions ?did you apply to Houston hybrid or are you doing FNP online? When did you apply? mine app still saying awaiting dept review ?

Hey @KimjayBSN !

I applied for the FNP online. Submitted my app on 3/29 with all of my transcripts and supplemental app documents received 4/20.  Later it was determined that an intent to enroll form was required and my admissions counselor sent an e-mail asking for exact info regarding my stats class. 
 

I received acceptance yesterday so it took approximately 2 months to receive correspondence. It was received through the email I used to submit the app, not the TWU account. The OAP requests (missing transcripts, I had a few that were snail mail) came through TWU email. Once I received I confirmation from my schools that TWU received my docs, I was kind of annoying in emailing OAP... but then they immediately added it too my documents on the portal.

 

The wait is brutal. LOL at least it was for me.

@EDRN42 Congrats to you on your acceptance. I've been checking the pioneer site and it still saying awaiting dept review. The wait has me nervous LOL, I know they are saying the Houston campus sometimes have a waitlist ? .Thank you for replying let me know how the online program go

No problem! Did you apply to Houston for fall? Wishing you luck. I had to stop myself from checking the portal for a few days. It was becoming too consuming ? The process is very much hurry up and wait

yes I also applied for Spring too just in case LOL I didn't get in or get wait listed. I'm just hoping to get in for Spring at the latest. I applied for the houston campus bc that's the only one that has the dual acute NP Program plus I live in houston.

Nice! Yeah, I thought that was cool that they offered the dual program. I would have loved to have been able to apply to that one! Doesn't hurt to apply to multiple starts!
