Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not!
i'm not bringing anyone to the orientation, but i don't see why you shouldn't be able to if you want to (moral support and all). i'd call the school and see what the protocol is.and i think the public transport route is definitely the way to go if you can. who needs the added headache of commuting everyday if you don't have to? i'm trying to figure out a DART route to the parkland area from richardson, myself, but i think it's going to be complicated and might take longer than just driving. any experienced DART riders here that would mind giving me some guidance?
In Richardson I think there is a light rail commuter station. It looks like the Galatyn Park or Spring Valley is in Richardson. These stations will allow you to access the red and blue lines going south to Medical Market for TWU. You can go to either station, get on the red line or blue line south bound, deboard at union station and access the TRE, the big train, and TRE will take you right to Medical Market station and TWU is right there. It wouldn't be a bad commute via public trans., I dont know what the traffic would be like in comparison from Richardson though. You can go tohttp://www.dart.org/ and even type in your specific address and destination and it will give you the exact route trip plan
sophia,
i submitted my b/g check stuff pretty soon after i got my packet, and i haven't heard anything since. so, i'd say, unless you have a criminal record, and you know they're going to need to speak to you, or you think they might need to ask you about something in your past, then i would definitely try and keep some kind of communication channel open. BUT, if you don't have a record, then i don't think there's anything to worry about.
anybody here who was accepted to the fast track interested in joining a google group to communicate and pool information? i've used online group applications in the past for work and school, and they really did seem to help everyone out. (we were able to share notes and files and ask questions of each other, etc.) i think it might be useful both during the post-orientation prep time and, obviously, once school starts. if anybody's interested, PM me and i'll set it all up.

Hey... I wanna ask you fast track guys about the criminal back check info since you guys should have received info about that. I'm going to hong kong to see my parents whom I haven't seen for 4 years! I am thinking about leaving after my orientation date which is May 8th. Therefore I won't be physically present in the US. I wanna ask whether I have to be present in the US to do the criminal back ground check? I am getting frustrated because I can't buy air tickets before I know the answer to that question. If any of you know the answer, please give me some insights, thanks!
