TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

I did my fingerprint scan Tuesday morning at the Humble location. The lady there was cool, and the whole process took all of 10 minutes. The amt. I paid was $44.20 and they take check or money orders. If you use a credit card, there is an additional fee. If you call the number they provided at the advisement session, they will give you the next available date, but you also have the option of going online to schedule your appt.

Does anybody by chance know when we will get our refunds??

Has anyone gone to get their ID badges yet?

I actually had to attend the 2nd advisement session (because I couldn't take time off from work)...they did our badges on the spot.

Where can we pick up the id badges? Do we have to call first or can we just stop by?

Just drop by, no need to call. Go to Student Services on the 2nd floor.

Check out Blackboard! There is already stuff posted, including the very important note that we need to be there early on the first day...

There also seems to be reading assignments posted in preparation for the 1st lecture and reading modules to print. Happy Friday:lol2:

Yeah you guys, check the twu.blackboard.com and log in. It says that our class will start one hour earlier (2:30pm) on the first day because of a mandatory orientation.

By the way for Patho, you guys dont need to read the book for Patho. Attending his lectures, studying his powerpoints (I dont mean only powerpoints) along with all the lectures that he would give then you ll make A or B. Now his lecture is very informative, so you need to have a recorder that would record everything, then you go home and listen to them again and typed out everything, and study them.

I can let yall borrow my notes.

Uponastar16,

I tried to PM you but I'm not sure if it went through. Is there a way I can get the notes from you as well? I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!!

Who is ready for tomorrow?

I am excited about finally getting this journey started, but I am a little worried about the length of the class. I have had 5 hour classes before and they really really sucked. I don't think it was the time but rather the teacher was extremely boring. I hope this professor actually teaches instead of reading verbatum from the PowerPoint slides. I have heard good things about him so I am excited.

I can't wait to meet all of you at 2:30 :yeah:

Today was not so bad. Next time I will not bring so much stuff and when I leave...I will leave the opposite direction...I got lost trying to find the darn highway!

I couldn't find my car! Smith Tower was locked. I had to backtrack to Scurlock Tower and sneak in where the door was propped open with a trash can! Then I had to ask a security guard how to get back to the Smith Tower garage... I'm glad I know we can park in the TWU garage now. That was quite a hike.
