Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?
I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!
I think dolsen is right... It's weird but if you look at it, they're at the same time and in the same room. I think it's one of those classes where they teach together or take turns teaching or something, but I'm not really sure. It did the "this conflicts with blah blah" thing with me, too, so I just picked one. I don't even remember which one I picked, lol.
Has anyone received more financial aid? I got an e-mail today from FAFSA saying that my Correction has been processed... Meaning TWU filed for corrections after I sent in my Verification information... And they upped my EFC from 3000-something to over 6000!! What the heck? And now that I know that they haven't even really been looking at my file, they sent it off for corrections, I feel REALLY discouraged about getting awarded anything... Is anyone else having this problem?
I thought I would be getting more help than what I am getting. They all say there is so much money out there...but there are also so many restrictions. I am just going to do school loans for now, if anything else pops up, I will be greatful, but does not look like it as of now. I will be the old lady who is 60 something still paying for college...lol. I guess that is okay, there are not very many people in the world that are working there dream jobs...I have been wanting this since I was little girl, and if I have to pay for it until I die,so be it. It would be nice for the help though.
I know.. they made it seem on Friday like as if we'd be getting so much money as long as we applied for it. It lists on WebAdvisor my Budget, EFC, and Need. But I still only have the one 2000 Transfer Scholarship. I haven't even been offered a loan, which I've been waiting for rather than seeking out a loan through a bank... And when they edited my FAFSA, since my efc went up, I am no longer eligible for Federal Pell Grants. I'm just here like, wow, thanks a lot.
What time is our orientation in August? I thought I wrote it down but I can't find it anywhere. Do we have to go pick up are badges in a couple of weeks or are they going to call us?
I don't know about everyone else, but I feel kinda lost after Friday's "advisement". Money, books, badges, etc... I don't feel like they were very clear with us, but I'm still very excited about starting this program!
