TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Five more days!

(Just a little bump...)

Thank you DHaywood for the information! I am actually in Dallas. Not houston. I just kind of freaked out because they recently changed and didnt have much information at all about it on the website. It makes me feel alot better knowing the test was easy!

Hi Nela, I will be applying to TWUs Dallas nursing program for Spring 2011 too! I saw that the TEAS exam replaced the Hesi as well. I just bought the Hesi a2 study guide a month ago...bummer bc I cant return it! I wish you the best of luck & hopefully we will be in TWUs nursing program next Spring :) Are you going to take Patho this Fall?

Again Congratulations to all of you who were accepted into the program!

Yes I am Nela87, I've been reading that a lot of other students recommend it before beginning the program. I have completed most of my pre reqs so I figured that I would just get the class out of the way since I do not have a heavy course load this fall. But I have also heard that the class if kinda hard & the professor curves like crazy bc the exams are hard. Are you applying to any other programs besides TWU? TWU is my top choice & the only nursing program I am considering.

dsilverbear1- I found some my size at Scrubs and Beyond in Sugarland and Aviator Scrubs.com(expensive but cool!)

So did anyone find out what we should wear Friday? I don't want to be to casual, but than again I don't want to be too dressed up ( I am all about comfort on a long day).

About parking- I read on the TWU website that we can rent a space for $80.00 a month, but we have to purchase this in the Methodist Building...I am just wondeing is that where we would park??? Or do they have rentals at TWU? So many questions...so many questions.

I'm wearing jeans and a cute shirt.

I think the $80/month is for Scurlock Tower. The spaces aren't exactly reserved since we're not important doctors, but there's lots of unreserved spaces that we could park in. It's a big parking garage. I'm hoping to carpool with my sister for the first semester. She works for UTHSC in a building about a block away...

I think I am going to wear slacks and a dress shirt with flats since we will be touring the campus and I want to be comfortable...I never thought too much about parking, dolsen, now that you have mentioned it. That's a really good question. TXcatcher, where is Scurlock Tower??

The $80 a month is for the garage connected to TWU, but the office is in scurlock tower, which is just down the street.

I work for Texas Children's so i'll be parking in the employee parking garage and then take the company shuttle. I work overnight so I'll be wearing scrubs.

Thanks for the clarification, lcap!

Scurlock Tower is part of Methodist, I think... I know that's where we parked when my grandfather was being treated at Methodist several years ago. The kids that work in the area may know better...

Is everyone ready for tomorrow? I finally got everything done that I needed...I think...I hope... :)

I am ready!!! We have been waiting for this meeting for a while now, and it has finally arrived!! Can't wait to meet more people and see the campus, I heard that it's beautiful! :yeah:
