TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

I have not been on here in a while, I hope eveyone is doing good. I am getting very anxious, it seems as though May 7th, is never going to get here. As anyone heard about anything since the packet was sent out, I have not even recieved an email from them.

As for scrubs...I am a wopping 4'11, with a big booty, and I have found some petite scrubs that fit perfect.

Does anyone one know if we will be able to sign up for Summer school May 7th?

Well I hope All of you have a great and blessed day.

My first semester cost about $3,400, but the cost has increased as of this semester. My second semester tuition and fees is about $4,350. Those prices do not include books and other study material you are going to get.

Again, vaccinations are the bane of my existence! I went to get my first varicella shot today, and they were closed because the computers were down. Are they kidding me? I guess I'm driving to Anahuac again tomorrow.

I just realized this morning that I still haven't had a TB test! I need to get my head on straight soon...

hey nena0890, thanks for all of the information, it's very helpful!

btw, has anybody registered for/completed their cpr certification yet?

DHaywood, I haven't done any CPR stuff, but I thought we were going to sign up for it at the advisement session.

Also, forgot to mention earlier that I haven't gotten any emails or correspondence from TWU since the packet, with the exception of a letter saying my FAFSA wasn't turned in yet.

No, I haven't registered for CPR either because I'm just going to register for it on advisement day.

I haven't received anything either (correspondence) since the packet. Maybe they're saving them all for advisement day. ^_^

You're hilarious! Where did you find the scrubs at?

Hello everyone! First off Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted for the Fall!! Second, I have a quick question, I am planning on applying for the Spring 2011 semester at TWU, and I have recently read on their website that they no longer test for the HESI but it is the TEAS now, as of April 2010. So my question is, there isn't much information on their website about the test at all, and i was wondering if anyone knew anything about it?

Thanks in advance. :)

One more week!

I still have the varicella shot and a TB test to do. Anyone else severely behind like me?

I just found the answer to one of my previous questions. Houston does have it's own fitness center, complete with locker rooms and showers! I posted a link on the Facebook group.

That's good!! I wonder if we'll actually have time to make use of it, though! lol

hi nela!! the teas was very easy. i recall studying about 2-3 days b/4 i took the exam and did pretty good. are you here in houston? to be honest, i just googled teas testing because when i initially went to the atitesting website, they only had testing centers in plano, dallas and some other cities. i am in houston!! i found a website (http://www.westhoustontestingcenter.com/ (in which it appears to have changed since the last time i looked at it) and sent an email asking them to set up a date as they requested....which was weird. once i sent my email, i received a response from this address: [email protected]. theyadvised me to go to: [color=#0068cf]www.atitesting.com and make my payment. i know the ati website has the option of purchasing their study guide, but just bought a book from barnes and noble by mcgraw hill: nursing school entrance exams. it is a really good book!! i took the test in october last year, so things may have changed, but this is all of the information that i have. i hope this helps and good luck on future acceptance!!
