TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Here is the information for the Patho book for Houston"s Summer class. Hope this helps anyone that was wondering :)

I received my financial aid MasterCard in the mail today, but still have no other information about my financial aid.

I looked up both books on Amazon, and it should cost about $95 for both. I'll probably order them tomorrow. I'm going to re-read my A&P stuff over the next couple of weeks and then start reading patho.

Okay, I am not trying to sound helpless, but I am going to have step-by-step instructions on trying to find the book info. I tried every registration button and I just don't see what yall are talking about. Sorry for being so needy.

I got my OneCard in the mail yesterday. I activated it but it's not like they're gonna give us anything until the fall right? lol

Does anyone know a good place to buy the books? I'm so used to just getting them at the bookstore at my old school I don't know anything about buying them online.

Oh, and I can't log in to webadvisor even though I was just on it a minute ago. I hope this problem goes away I hate when it's nor working right.

Dolsen - in WebAdvisor, click on "search for classes", then put in biology 4344 and Houston, and hit search. Then when our section comes up, click on "books" and it'll come up with the two books we need for the course - the text and study guide. It should open a new tab or window.

I recommend using Amazon.com to buy them. You can cut and paste the ISBN numbers from the WebAdvisor and it'll take you straight to the books. They should be about $95.

I have a somewhat stupid question, but NO ONE at either campus (administration that is) has been able to answer it. When I tried to register for the Summer Houston Patho course, it says that I need DEPARTMENTAL PERMISSION. I was able to register for all of the other Fall classes, but this one is giving me issues. I thought that maybe I needed to be advised, but Ms. Washington told me that no advisement sessions have been scheduled. If that is the case, then why is half of the class already full. If you can solve my dilema, I would be truly greatful. :D

Even though I am having issues registering for Patho, I bought the book on yesterday. I used Amazon and got the book and the study guide new for $95 plus free shipping. I thought about getting it used but I always seem to get the used books with all of the crazy highlighting and scribbles. The book also comes with a cd and usually used books don't include the cd.

For those that don't mind used books or even rental books, Chegg.com is EXCELLENT!!! They will rent you the book at 1/4 the cost with no hastle. I used them for all of my prerequisite books and never had an issue.

You were supposed to register before May 14. If it wasn't letting you register before that then it was probably some webadvisor error but if you're barely trying to do it now then that's why it's not working. You should call the registrar or someone who was there at the advisement session to see if they can take it off.

I have been trying to register for this class since the 7th, and no one...not even the registrar knows what the issue is. I have called and emailed everybody I could think of with no luck. Well, Monday is another day...I think I will change my approach

Thanks for the response! :D

You might need to fax that sheet to "allow twu to change your term to summer" we received in orientation. I had that same error as well but afterwords it was okay. Try that.

Thank you TxCatcher, I finally figured it out.:yeah:

MissMoe that also happened to me whenever i tried to register for the summer patho. I stopped by the school last week and they took care of it in the enrollment office. It was a system error, took them like 2 minutes.
