TWU Fall 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Well...now that the tests are over with, I can think about my check-offs. Tuesday will not get here fast enough!!

It took me a surprisingly long time to find the sections for Skills checkoff's, so I figured I'd post it here to make your lives easier...

In the Skills book or Skills checklist:

PO Meds 21-1

IM Injections 22-4

Sub-Q Injections 22-3

ID Injections 22-2

NG/Feeding tube 31-1

Meds via tube 21-2

Feeding via Kangaroo 31-4

Sterile gloves 8-3

Change dressing 39-1

And, 22-1 should be beneficial as well. It has to do with preparing an injection from vile/ampule.

I wonder how long it will take to post the pharm grades. I am really dreading them, but the anxiety is killing me...

I'm also dreading clinicals for one reason - 6:00am.... Getting here early on Monday and Tuesday has killed me! I was too tired to even sleep last night... I feel like a zombie.

mISSmoE= Don't we have Assessment review at 1pm on Monday? Atleast that is what someone told me. I did however make my reservation and signed up to give blood at 1pm...so just wondering. Ps...I'm so sleepy.

I need some time to vent and what better place to do it than here:

• I want to yank all of my hair out at the root!
  
• I do not like the way that concepts checkoff is being organized
  
• why in the world can I not view the CCLL videos on my laptop
  
• pharm grade isn't posted yet and I could care less...she can keep it!
  
• why do I have an 8am check-off when my brain is not fully alert until noon
  
• I have never been hungry, tired, anxious, cranky, bored, and overworked all at the same time!
  
• I passed the Med Cal and my Vital Signs but I think I am well overdue for a big fat F on the concepts check-off

I am drained but I am loving every minute of it. I am blessed to be with such a great group of people. As for Concepts...I will be in the lab from 3-8 tomorrow. As for Friday...I might be in the bathroom throwing up. One good thing about nursing school is that I don't eat as much! My poor stomach is too STRESSED!
