TWU fall 2023 applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

Hey ya'll.  I am currently in the WEP at TWU.  Someone asked earlier about what the schedule looks like.  You will have class Tuesdays & Thursdays from 17:30-20:30.  When you start clinicals, you will have those on the Weekends, so you need to make sure that you are free Saturdays and Sundays.  If you haven't taken Patho by the time you are accepted, usually that will be an online course (but can be different now not sure).  Hope this helped you all.  Good luck!  TWU is an amazing school ?

Thank you, that’s some helpful information. Hope it’s going well for you!

Hello guys, I am applying for fall 2023 at TWU. My question is- Do we need to add TWU too in NursingCAS, and do we need to send TWU's transcript if we have not taken any classes from TWU?

I take my TEAS Friday and I’m feeling under prepared! Any tips?! Just worried.

Good luck!! Mometrix helped me as well as the practice tests that ATI offers.  I got an 85.  And remember we can take it twice! I will be taking it the second time in a few weeks to see if I can get into the 90s.

Do they take the higher test grade or the second test you take? Did you feel the actual TEAS was harder or easier than the ATI mometrix or practice tests?

They take the higher! And the TEAS was identical to the ATI practice tests, but not same questions. Mometrix is helpful.  Brandon Croft on YouTube for math, actually harder than the TEAS so you’ll be over prepared. And nurse hub for A&P.   A&P is pretty broad. Math is very basic. And language and reading had trick questions and I think a lot of people don’t really study for that bc they assume it’ll be simple so def brush up on that, but mometrix was just fine for that. I hope that helps!

Hi everyone. Does anyone know if the application in NursingCas is the same one for the on-campus and weekend/evening program?

Yes, you will select which program you want to apply for.

I only saw one application and it says On Campus. The application for the weekend/evening program did not populate. Sorry, this is my first time applying and I don't want to apply to the wrong one. Any help is appreciated.

I logged into NursingCAS today to work on my application. Is the holistic question portion gone? I swear it was there when I began my application in October. But cannot find it in any of the sections. Am I just looking in the wrong places?

I checked today and I do not see where I selected that, but I definitely did. I am not seeing the holistic question portion that they added the last year. I saw it a couple months ago, but not now.

Nevermind, I found them!
