Twu Fall 2009 Applicants

Published

Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:

Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.

We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I am positive, upbeat and excited.

TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:

Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:

I just wanted to drop a hello to all. Especially Nursetobe, a friend since Patho. I have been a member of this board since last summer. i like to read what everyone says. I don't post usually because I would most likely repeat what is already there. I too can not wait for the results. i am more curious to see what the GPA cut off will be this semester.

It is great having so many people be there for each other.

Aggie sure I will. I don't think you'll like my discipline methods :)

My kids aren't too thrilled with MY methods, either! However, it doesn't seem to deter them any.

Ah, motherhood...

See, I guess I'm not stressing out too much because I have tons of other crap to deal with. I have to take my 6 YO to the dermatologist tomorrow to see about having a plantar's wart removed. A plantar's wart! On my 6 YO's foot! Geez.

And my 5 YO is having night terrors. Oh, yes, we were up five times last night.

Oh, yeah...and I need to come up with $800 this week for my kids' private school registration for next year! So far, I've got $600, so I've got to do some scrounging. I'll find it. Always do.

And I need to go to the doctor because I have a terrible sinus infection. I called today for an appointment, and my doc is out on maternity leave...And isn't coming back! AAACCCCKKKKKK! Wish I would've known that before I got sick and really needed someone!

Anyway, I'm done with my ranting. Hang in there! Our answer is coming!

Hello My Friend

This is my friend from Patho (TCOLEY2011)...LOVE YOU GIRLFRIEND.

Yes, this is what I spend my time doing instead of working:)

Sophia we have to be strong!!! I'm curious too to see what the cutoff will be. I know it will be higher than the spring. So many are trying to get into school!!!

Poor thing. Lock them in the dr and let them fight it out. They will get tried and go to bed or one will knock out the other. Have u seen the dr about the night terrors?? They usually stem from something else going on

ladies. there are 16 people lookin at this forum right now. thats incredbile. hello everyone who isnt a regular person ive spoken too. this is a verrrry competitive admission i see. i wonder what the cut off will be too. anybody who hasnt posted what was your gpa and NET so we can just see where everybody is, and maybe that will give us an average of at least the gpa is on this forum. i hope everybody is feeling better. thanks NURSETOBE for your encouraging words. ladies this will soon be over, and the stress will be gone. just keep praying, keep your faith and tell the devil to turn you a loose and let go.

Hey

We will probably win an award for the longest thread in any application period:)

Any new people come on join us...we are nice and we want bite we promise. If we do bite it want hurt long!

My friend TColey2011 was with me in Patho. and she is an awesome person and mom. We met for the first time in that class and I do not know what I would have done without her. She as well has came a long way and she knows I am very proud of her. She is a beater of alot of odds and she will tell you she gives all credit to the Heavenly Father.

Princess if the cutoff is higher this time around that counts me out for sure!

My current GPA is 3.87, which if the GPA cut off is like last semester, it doesn't matter. My NET for reading is 67. So in all if it is a normal application period I have a good chance. I am not worried though, If I am meant to get in I will.

I am thinking of doing EMT or CNA if I am not accepted. that will give me something to do.

This is my plan...

I have an advisement session on Wednesday. I lack 35 hours from having my degree in Family Studies. I want to go ahead and obtain my Bachelors in Family Science and I have three classes to complete to apply for the Masters Program for Occupational Therapy. If you look on TWU website there is several programs that are designed for the Fast Track/Masters OT.

I do not believe I will have to go this route, but this is my Plan B if there has to be one.

Just like TColey2011 said if the cutoff is anything like last application period it would not matter what I had especially with the .4 in full force.

i have considered getting the bachlor in in Family Studies too. Since I have a scholar ship i might as well ise it. I just don't know though.

i know that i am 30-40 hrs away from M A N Y degrees. but ive only done nursing. so if i dont get in, i guess i can do something else as well. i was looking at Social Work? but idk.. any suggestions.
