Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I guess everyone couldn't go to Poteet :). Yeah you have to stay on them. They claimed a had a chemistry class missing but I had to remind them I was a 2nd degree student and I took it in undergrad. Glad u got things taken cared of.
I think all of us have gone through the same scenario on this board with different types of email. Princess-could not find her Chemistry, you-computer literacy and womens studies and myself-took Patho. at UTA and could not find my letter of good standing and did not see I took Patho. at TWU last semester.
Fast Track has until March 25th to accept or decline the offer. They will send our letters out right after that date because if there is someone that declines and wants to go traditional or accepted another school offer their names have to be either put on traditional list or taken off due to another school acceptance.
It is a bunch of dropping here and there type of effect.
hello ladies and futurecrna. up again. another late nite.. but i do have a newborn. so he's part of the reason why im up. (when school starts he should definitely be sleeping all night, so i'm glad its now lol) okay for one. i have heartburn =(. two. dionte (my baby boy) was hungry. but hes sittin here in my lap trying to sleep and three my friend is trying out for america's next top model this morning, its cycle 13 its for ppl 5'7 and s h o r t e r!! so she is super nervous and calling me. yall should have seen my face when the phone rang at 3:30. i said whooooo is this? haha. but im still in good spirits. forensic files in on..so im not too disappointed. i havent been getting any sleep here lately. from school jitters to my bf, and for little one who is hungrier than usual. but i have the lord and i'm in good spirits.. but enough of prettyladies' personal blog =)...
futurecrna, what year did you graduate from north if you dont mind me asking. i knew a bunch of ppl who went there.. well i knew o f them =)
princess, you should receive your mail either the next day or by monday like you said. normally if you live within the dallas area its pretty quick. i always get my mail usually in two days from the date they mailed it. are you still coming to your daddys or are you just going to let him call you to let you know it came.
nursetobe...hellloo! do the people who applied for the fast track and didnt make it.. do they know if they are on a waitling list or do they just call the people who are next in line if the people decide to decline. keep your faith strong!!!
anywhoo.. everyone gets a prayer when i go back to bed of course. its not too much longer!! keep your faith strong even in this hard time of doubt. trust him. he will not let you down. stay directed on gods path and all things will be of good nature. after all its not about what we want, its about what god wants, and his plan for our lives. he has already chosen. and im sure that all of you were given a true gift of compassion and determination to succeed and be great nurses. pray pray pray pray!!

There is no greater glory than knowing the LORD and having a personal relationship with him. I have experienced a lot of disappointing times, but I can
look back and tell you that they were only disappointing for a very short time because through clouds of disappointment it has only brought me closer to the Lord and understanding patience, faith and love.
I am sure that all of you know this is my second time around with TWU, but did you know I also was not accepted into UTA Nursing Program so this is the third time for this whole process. I was put on the waitlist at UTA and I did not get a spot. So waitlisted first, rejection second and now THIS TIME....I have never once let my faith fail me.
I have friends in the UTA Program and TWU Program and they call me all the time looking for what they say I have and they don't which is faith that they will succeed. Nursing School is hard and we will always need one another. My friends cannot believe that I continue to be strong and I say what would the FATHER want me to do...give up on him because he has never given up on me.

Well if it comes on sat I might just have him read it. I'm not coming back to mesquite till that monday. That way if I don't get in I won't be too down since I can't see the letter.
Now with fast track I'm thinking the people who didn't get in are already placed in the applicant pool. Now if u got accepted and want to do generic I'm sure there was some deadline way earlier for that but I'm pretty sure no one is going that route. Yall know they are taking patho over the summer online!!!
I believe that the orientations are separate for houston and dallas. I should get the letters 3 days after they mail them out. I just am full of doubt all of a sudden. Reason being, is yall had good grades the first time around that yall applied and yall were waitlisted. So maybe that's just what they do to people, waitlist them. I'm nervous. But it's normal for us to be nervous this is a really big decision for alot of us. However, trust in the Lord and his will be done not mine.
I think that would be best to have two seperate ones. People would get confused since both are in two seperate areas. Each campus might be different as to how they do things a little bit. Plus 200 ish students all in one room would be a circus
Nhoward I think its natural for everyone to be nervous now that its almost time. I keep thinking if only I got one more question right on the NET I could have gotten a 80 on the reading They still might not take me this semester
Nursetobe when I was a volunteer at parkland most of the ob staff was midwives. I think they employ the most in the US or at least to a few yrs ago. I got to shadow one for a day. It will be very rewarding for you
nhoward, dont worry. its only nervous to feel doubt right now because it is so close to those letters being mailed. don't worry. you'll be fine. a lot of people say hope for the best but expect the worse.. no hope for the best expect the best. just keep praying. anytime you think of it pray. give it all to him and dont look back. let him handle it. if you ask for it, you'll get it. remember god has a plan for you. just rely on him.
princess, who is taking patho online? fast track? i took patho online through stephen f. austin last summer. not too bad actually, but i didn't like the book. and the teacher was a tad bit flaky. never answered emails. so if your letter comes that saturday you'll just get your dad to read it. and w h e n it says accepted, how fast will you come up 45 (or however you might get here)!!!
nursetobe!! hello. i look forward to your inspirational comments every morning. it makes me strive even harder to know that somebody else is going through what i'm going through, and they let it all go to god. the way you use god's guidance is truly amazing. i prayed to have the strength like you when you went into your closet and you told god you couldn't handle it anymore. i know there are times when i couldn't do that, i thought everything was hopeless. it was hard for me to listen to god at some points. but my mama told me to say satan turn me a loose. so that's what i've been doing. she said that doubt in your mind is satan trying to take over. i just keep thinking of that everytime i get a doubt in my mind. god is the only person who should be in control.
sophia, i think it is great if you were able to find a roommate. you could have an all day study partner. that would be neat. i unfortunately will be living with my bf, a n d the little one. but i'll pray that things work out for you.
to everyone, i hope we all get in to school, but if we don't i want us to still stay strong like we have been. and god will make a way for us some way and some how. remember god works in mysterious ways. i know this first hand.

as for school ladies and future, are you going to use a laptop, a pda, a recorder etc. i know we're all getting planners right?? =) i have a big problem with studying. i never knew how to study, i just memorized. i have a h u g e photographic memory, so if i see it once, i'll know it when i see it again, but that isn't going to help me in nursing school. a girl has been telling me to buy a nclex study book and go over the questions in the book, that we are covering in class, that way we can get a better understanding of the wording on the nclex, and use it as extra study practice that makes sense huh? does anybody know the biggest size 3-ring binder you can get. i k n o w im gonna need one of those. what kind of shoes are yall getting for clinicals. what kind of stethoscope are yall gonna buy.
I'm definiteyl getting a planner and I'm probably goign to be using my laptop alot. I also heard that it was really good to get a recorder so I'm probably going to do that as well. I'm definitely going to have to develop different study habits and techniques. I'm probably goign to buy a littmann. They are really good and last for years and years. Alot of the paramedics I've been doing my clinicals with use littmanns and love them
Maybe I should take patho this summer? Any opinions? Don't we take patho and pharm. the 1st semester if we get in?
