Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
Now now calm down my friends
800 people applied, but not all 800 are qualified! Some of the applicants lack course work, NET score not 55 or above, others accepted other offers at other schools or GPA's very low or some do not answer their emails in a timely manner and they get thrown out. You would not believe how many people apply with only 3.0 GPA's and that will not get your foot in the door especially in this competitive field.
I am going to call....wish me luck
Exactly nursetobe!! That's why I wanna know how many of the 800 are actually in the applicant pool. People with the bare requirements do apply and think they will get in. Anyone who does a little research will find out that TWU requires a high GPA. And as far as the NET goes I remember the lady who gaves us the tests said unless u have a really high gpa u shouldn't get anything less than a 65 on the reading to get in. Some also apply not having the science classes completed which they have stated in black n white u need X hrs to apply. Nursetobe did bring up some good points. I was freakin out at first until I remembered that

If you know anything about me know this...I would not say anything that would
hurt ones feelings or belittle them in anyway...please know that, but I will say and others and the school can agree if you have a 3.0 the (bare minimum) it is hard to get into any program...
I have been through the hurt and disappointment so I know from first hand experience. You are talking to someone that retook three courses to change B's to A's so I know.
I apologize for anything that may have been taken the wrong way, but I try to stay upfront and share my stories and what I know to be true.
nursetobe im not offended at all.i was jut laughin.. i was like dannngg.. there goes me.. hahaha. i have great spirits about this entire process. i know im getting in somewhere at some school. so im not stressing about it. i have to put a little humor in myself to make it. but i like how princess said if you have a low gpa then you should have over 65 on the net which i do, so that gave me a little hope, but im not worried about it anymore. i was just blown away with how many people applied. nursetobe, sophia, princess, yall are money. its good to go. just be ready to stalk that mailman A S A P.

You are right hold that head up because you are just as capable as the next
person (guy or girl) for sure.
You are great support and this board would not be the same without you. Princess and I have traveled this road and along this road we have picked up some great people such as yourself. Check Princess out she was going after the guy in the admissions office with a knuckle sandwich:)
Princess will tell you last application period when letters came out this board
can sometimes become a cut throat conversation lounge. She and I was
dealing with people that got accepted with 3.5 plus a .4 bump which made them a 3.9.
If you earned that GPA I do not have a problem, but when it is bought I disagree
with the process. GOD will prevail in this one and I have to know he will! He has saved the BEST FOR LAST:)
Sophia the only thing I can think of is your letter will have u got accepted into traditional and not fast track. I guess you should assume you didn't get in for fast track n they will let u know about the fall. That's the only educated guess I can think of. Guess they just want to send u one letter instead of two

With 800 applicants april 1st is unrealistic now. Now with those 800 did all of them met the requirements??? If not it could be less that are being considered. Last spring 600 applied but only 400 met all the requirements
