Twu Fall 2009 Applicants

Published

Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:

Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.

We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I am positive, upbeat and excited.

TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:

Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:

nhoward any word from UT yet??? When do they send out letters?? Haven't read that thread in awhile. I still wish I would have applied there. Don't know if I would have gotten a interview though

Princess

I know honey how you felt because I went through the same thing, but it all worked out.

Do you have a post office box or mailbox at home? Just wanted to see if you had your Nursing Admission Letter Stalking Suit ready to go?

I know I didn't get accepted to UT. So I'm waitingon TWU, and I'm about to apply to HBU nursing school as well.

I talked to a guy named erin (maybe it's a girl...idk) and he/she said that it would be mid april. So yall let me know who yal ltalk with. Lol i bet we get all different answers

I'm getting my letter sent to my dad's house in Mesquite so I can get it faster. Nursetobe and anyone else who is 22 and older are you worried at all with the "youngins" that will be in the class?? I just hope I don't have to put up with undergrad foolishness all over again. I'm too old for that mess. And I know older students can be bad too. Just wondered if any of you had thought about this. I don't mean to offend any people on this board younger than 21. It's just that at that age your still maturing to some degree which is natural. I just don't really want to have to deal with some immature 19 yr old but I know there are 30 and 40 yr olds who are worse than they are

Princess

I really haven't thought about it much at all. I know I bypassed all that mess in Patho. Me, I just stayed clear of all the nonsense and pushed forward while some of them learned you just cannot Party All the Time or Party like its 1999 while taking these type of classes.

Yes, my counselor is Erin (she) and mid April is what she is saying....

Erin is a woman and she is pretty up there on the ladder with admissions from my understanding. So it might be mid-april. I wish I knew. I kinda want to drive home and wait for the letter so my dad won't have to read it to me on the phone. And our mailman is ALWAYS late. Some days he doesn't get to us till almost 2:30/3pm!!! We are the last house in our neighborhood he stops at so its torture to see him stop at everyone's box but mine. I might have to run up to the truck and see if I can get the letter :)

All of us will get in... we are all very good students!

About being mature enough. Nursing school is tough to get in to(as all of us know). It takes a pretty mature individual to put the time and dedication to get the grades they need to get into nursing. So, I don't think immaturity is going to be a problem at all.

nhoward... I applied to UT as well.... did not even get an interview

I really didn't think about it till my a&p II class. They were complaining about everything. I'm just sitting there thinking just wait till u get up in the upper classes they don't care . You are here to learn and if not there's the door. I will try to stay far away from all that. In my micro class one of my good friends now thinks I'm so smart since I know a lot about science. No one has ever looked up to me before. I was so honored but I really don't know that much. I really think anybody who wants to we can all get together and celebrate the acceptance letters. It would be a great bday gift for me!!! Can't believe I'll be 26 when I start and almost 28 when I graduate

Im probably the youngest one on here.

nhoward I really hope so, and I would love to have you as a classmate. I love reading the thread under general nursing students about the things they wish they could say to their classmates. It's too funny!!! Sorry to hear about UT. It's a shame a lot of good students aren't getting into school to become great nurses over things that really don't determine if they will graduate or not. I know for TWU they have a high turnover rate from a lot of old threads I've read
