nursetobe... ur in the air force!!! i didnt know that. how exciting!!!!! okay i need yalls advice..my friend and i went to PCI health today and we wanted to do the patient care tech program. it was be basically the cna, with phlebotomy and ekg. but its 8900.00 and i paid my registration and so did she, but now that we have came home and thought about it, it doesnt seem worth it. plus we found a PCT program at a community college that is cheaper.. but the PCT program has job placement, and we would finish right before nursing school
Yes, I am in the Air Force and I love it! As far as PCT at PCI I do not recommend doing that due to the fact that I would prefer to get a certificate or whatnot from a community college. Go get your money back:)

I'm with nursetobe on this one. You can find progams that are cheaper than that. 9k is a lot of money!!!! If you do get in to nursing school that's 9k that could have went towards your tutition. There are cheaper CNA programs out there. Mine only cost a few hundred dollars if I remember correctly. Now when they say job placement they might can tell you a few places to apply but they can't promise you a job when you finish. By searching the internet I'm sure you can find the same jobs out there or at least close to it. Run and get that money back!!!!
Oh yeah, I went to PCI before to see about the PCT program. I couldn't believe how expensive it was! I'm curious, what community college did you find that had one?
hello ladies!! thanks for all the advice. the only thing im really concerned with is the price. i loved what they had to offer. how quickly we were going to start phelbotomy, and doing all these other great things. but yeah it is very expensive. there is a grant that will cover 3500 of the tuition, but the rest is on our own basically. but they were acting like they werent hearing me when i said i have already filled out the fasfa for 2008-2009 school year and i was dependent so there is no need for me to come here because i wouldnt qualify for that grant. she just kept saying go get it and i can make you independent with how much i made that year, i was like ookay..but when i got home im sittin here thinking...noooo she cant do that? lol. so im going to go up there today and get my 100.00 back. but you know ill probably hear something like welll it will take 5-7 buisness days.. and ill be like well it didnt take that long for you to take my money.. plus i paid you a hundred dollar bill and you can easily go get that out your register or where ever it is you keep it. lol. luckily i have my receipt and my paper that says we can cancel with a full refund within 72 hours. but anywho.. to RHA_HEA. i was reading about it at Cedar Valley in Lancaster.
welll. i went back to pci with my friend. i dont know if its my personality, or how strong i come off to anybody, but she didnt have any problems with stating that i wanted to withdraw. but with my friend. she is super sweet, quiet and tad bit shy and she basically barked at her. and she had the nerve to get on TWU. she was saying that twu isnt worth it. and she was saying that books at twu are 5000.00 and she was making a bad decision by leaving PCI and that she wasnt going to get her bachelors she was just gonna get her LVN. and she was just going on and on. and my friend has had problems with her mother. and the admissions lady at pci was like you're gonna be just like your mama. and you dont know what you're talking about. i was like howwwwww darreeee she. and i knew my friend was upset because when she came out it almost looked like she was fighting back tears.. i told her dont even worry about people like that. and fyi my hundred is SUPPPPPOSEEDD To be here in two weeks. and i was like ummmmmmmmmmmmm NOOOO. i need it now. she said its at corporate and they have to cut a check.. i said..if my money is not here in two weeks. davaion and PCI will be on the news because i will get straight ignorant with you people at PCI.. :) lol. anywhooo...wheres the mailman..
