Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
Nursetobe. i completely agree with you. patience has gotten me through this. ive had a rejection as well. so i know how it feels. but we're all gonna get in this fall somewhere. and we will be fine. and with the .4 i only know TWOOOO people who have gotten in with out it. well she still got it but she had a 3.9 before the bump.. and my other friend was waitlisted in 2007 with a 3.6 but she eventually got in, so i really dont know anybody who did it on their own. i think twu should really stop that, because its really kind of false..
Trust me when I say this Prettyladie there have been a lot of people that have gotten in without the .4. You can do it too! This is why the .4 came about. Years ago TWU gave .2, but there was more transfer students getting in than TWU students and that is why the .4 came about due to the students thinking it was unfair that they were taking all their pre-reqs from TWU and no reward for it so to speak.
Also remember this...there are a lot of people that will tell you they had a 3.8, 3.9 and so on, but you really do not know what their GPA or their NET Scores. Some people have a hard time with honesty. I can say I have a 3.71 and a 67 NET and be proud of those numbers, but there are some folks that just cannot be honest with themselves or others.
Princess
You are OH SO RIGHT! They try to make you believe and in the next breath
they start believing it themselves.
I remember the first time I was ask what is your NET Score...I replied 67 and my head dropped. I was ashamed, but when I was told that is a good score I felt better.
Ladies, it will not be too long till we are all stalking the mailman again. I am sure my mailman doesn't want to know he will be going through this process again:)
Last application period I left work to track down the postman. When I found the postman he was in another subdivision so I waited at the mailbox for him to drive down my street.
My friends (the ones that got accepted) got their letters two days before I got my rejection letter, but everyday I looked for my letter because I was so sure I was going to be accepted.

I made peace with me not getting in this semester back in Dec. I wasn't a strong applicant gpa wise and didn't deserve a seat with all the other applicants who had a much stronger gpa than me. I think with me being rejected it will made me appreciate this time around if I do get in. Now time time around if I don't get in because of the .4 advantage it will time me some time to get over that.
